Over the last 3 weeks or so, most of the expected Oscar contending features have been rolling out their first trailers...but for Anna Karenina. Joe Wright, can you PLEASE get on this??? This is another film Duana and I will be seeing together, holding hands. Right after Les Miserables. I’ve been saying for a while, ever since the previews for Savages came out, that I’m not sure how I’ll make it out of the theatre after watching two hours of Aaron Johnson. Full Story

Ruth Wilson is Jude Law’s new girlfriend. She’s an actor. The London Film Festival kicked off tonight. The opening night film is 360 starring Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Anthony Hopkins directed by Fernando Meirelles. Didn’t see Weisz or Hopkins among the arrivals in the photo agencies. It’s likely then that Jude is the only actor there to represent the movie. Full Story

Jude Law is currently in London performing in the West End in a production of Anna Christie at the Donmar Warehouse. The reviews have unanimously positive. The Daily Telegraph says he delivers “humour, tenderness and sudden moments of intense physical and emotional violence”; The Guardian says it’s the best work of Jude’s career and that this is the role that “releases Law from the tyranny of always being seen as the good-looking lead man and allows him to become a character actor”; and the Evening Standard agrees with this assessment, noting that Jude “exudes a visceral toughness that may just shape an entirely new career path for him”. Full Story
