In the wake of the monster success of The Avengers, Warner Brothers announced they will be bringing DC Comics’ own superhero super group, the Justice League, to the big screen. (Hilariously, they will attempt to do this in the same year that The Avengers 2 comes out.)  The Justice League includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, the Green Lantern and Aquaman, three of which have already been or are soon to be introduced in solo movies. Full Story

I’ve only watched up to Weekend Update but so far, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s not freaking me out as much as he did the last time he hosted when it was much too much hyperness and he may not have blinked the entire time. Tracking for The Dark Knight Rises is very, VERY strong. Here we go. Can it challenge The Avengers? Right now they’re saying at least $185 million and it just might give Marvel a go to get to $200 million even though TDKR is not 3D. But why fight? Everyone is happy. Um, Christian Bale and Natalie Portman look SUPER HOT as a couple, right? I’m so excited to see him look like himself in a movie - not scowling, not dying, not drug-addicted and emaciated but ordinary, and smiling. Anyway, about last night at the Movie Awards - in case you missed it, they played a Dark Knight retrospective and included a few scenes with Heath Ledger and then Bale took the microphone and could not contain his emotions. Full Story

Love that Bridesmaids was recognised instead of The Hangover. Love that Wiig was included among Best Actresses Comedy although, um, you can tell they were kinda stretching, non? One of the best things about Jimmy Fallon when he was on Saturday Night Live was that he could never hold his sh-t together. Never! And when Fallon laughs, it’s infectious. Which is why he’s doing such a great job on Late Night. He loosens up his guests. It’s fun. They know it’s fun going on Fallon.
