Duana Names: On Food and Monikers
I have to admit, before these articles started being posted, I never gave much thought to how sibling names flowed and complimented each other or in some cases, clashed. Now that we're pregnant again, I feel the need to request some help. My husband and I have 8 year old twins-- Lennox and Harper. Full Article
Duana Names: Gotham Baby Names
OK...so here's the deal - we are due in one week and expecting our first child (a boy!). My husband and I are going back and forth between three first name options. I truly am hoping it 'comes to us' once we see his little face and what he actually looks like. But would also love your opinion on the names as well as my husband's incessant requests for a certain 'superhero' middle name. Full Article
Duana Names: Sullivan’s Siblings
Hello! It’s actually fairly early on in my pregnancy (don’t tell Lainey, I feel like she wouldn’t approve and would worry I’m jinxing it, judging by how we couldn’t talk about Baby Wales for a while), but I’ve been so sick this time around - and now I know why, we found out today we’re having twins (!) - that pondering names is a very welcome distraction. Duana Names: Such A Thing As Too Much Irish?
Hi Duana. I'm 5 months pregnant with my second son. Our first is named Declan. (You can imagine how excited I was when it came up in your column as a possible recommendation!) I agree with you on the Irish boys name front. They are cool but, if called on it (I've honestly been asked if I "made up" Declan, for real), you can reference centuries of history to show how tried and true and actually classic the names are. Duana Names: My Best Friend’s Moniker
Hey Duana, I have a question about naming kids after friends. Is this an awkward thing? Like if you idolize a particular friend or role model or something, and name your kid after her or him, do you think it's too big of a gesture, or might make the friend / role model uncomfortable? For the purposes of this discussion, assume there's a long and strong friendship in place already. Full Article

Duana Names: Liza with a Z
I have a somewhat unusual first name and middle name (Ariel Zenobia) and I want something with the same vibe for my daughter. I don't mind Name Nerding the Jolie-Pitts, but can you help me with some other “Z” girls names? ___ Oh what a fun one – yes please! First of all, you know you share a middle name and first initial with the awesome Alice Richmond... Full Article
Duana Names: Too short and sweet?
Hi! I recently found out that I am pregnant and want your input about these names! All are namesakes for important people in both mine and my boyfriend's life, but I won't take it personal if you hate them (my bf isn't so sure about the girl's name!). Also, because we aren't married, I really want to hyphenate our last names, but am willing to only have his (my last name: Boado, pronounced BO-AH-DOE, and his: Thomas). Full Article
