Scarlett Johansson Gossip
Scarlett Johansson gossip, latest news, photos, and video.
It was a great weekend for Scarlett Johansson. It’s a wonderful time for Scarlett Johansson. Lucy exceeded expectations at the box office, coming in at #1 with almost $45 million and overpowering Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Hercules. And this just a couple of weeks after Sarah posted this article Full Story
Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy was originally scheduled to open later. But, as Sarah wrote back in May, the studio moved up the release date to avoid Guardians Of The Galaxy. And it was the right move. Because Scarjo took out The Rock!
$44 million! Do you remember even seeing a red carpet or any kind of publicity tour for that film? Nope. She’s pregnant. She hasn’t been hustling. And the reviews weren’t great for Lucy either. But reviews aren’t great for many male-driven action movies. So if doesn’t matter for the men, why should it matter for the women?
Few women can topline this kind of feature. Read Full Intro
With Warner Brothers electing to save Batman vs. Superman for next summer’s Comic-Con, this summer’s convention belongs squarely to the other superhero orgy in our lives, The Avengers: Age of Ultron. To that end, Entertainment Weekly is featuring a first look at Ultron on the cover of its Comic-Con preview issue, and it is very, very cool. Full Story
Scarlett Johansson has a movie coming out later this summer, Lucy, and it looks pretty cool. It was originally slated to come out on August 8th, which made a lot of sense. The movie looks entertaining, if not actually good, and those kinds of softy action films usually do pretty well in the slightly less competitive month of August. Full Story
Second year in a row that Scarlett Johansson skipped the MET Gala. I would have liked to see her there. I wonder if Ryan Reynolds would have showed up if she was. If she did go, chances are she would have been with Dolce&Gabbana. You know who wore Dolce&Gabbana this year? Kate Upton. Full Story
And also she kicks all of the ass. In a movie, anyway. The first trailer for Luc Besson’s latest, Lucy, was released and it’s pretty much just ScarJo and her mutant eyes destroying everyone around her. The plot reminds me of that dumb Bradley Cooper movie, Limitless, in which a drug accesses the 90% of the brain that we “don’t use” and thus makes the protagonist super smart and super capable, except Lucy looks more like a straight action movie than Limitless. Scarlett Johansson was with the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in China yesterday. That’s a pretty prominent v-neck on Chris Evans, non? Here’s how I see the v-neck: it can’t go with big arms. You have to choose one. Go with a v-neck if your arms aren’t stretching to hulk the sh-t out of your shirt. Full Story
The Hollywood premiere for Captain America: The Winter Soldier happened last night. It’s the first time Scarlett Johansson has appeared on a red carpet since news broke of her pregnancy. And even though I’m no expert at pregnancy, even I can tell she’s pregnant. Not by the bump, by further up. Full Story
The Captain America junkets have been happening over the last few days. Already? That’s what I thought. But it’s March 12. And the movie comes out April 4. So, yeah, already. The movie was screened for the journalists and some nerds. Reaction? Sarah has been saying it’s good. Full Story
We’re a little under a month until Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes out and Marvel has released the first clip from the film. There’s slick action, a touch of humor, classic villain Batroc the Leaper—did you know that MTV Movie Award nominations came out yesterday? I’m sure you do, Lainey mentioned it Full Story
I don’t want to call it a problem. A healthy young woman in control of her life and choices being pregnant is never a problem. But when you’re an actress in a high-profile franchise that is just days away from starting principal photography and your character is expected to carry a sizeable chunk of the movie, and the role is physical and the costume is unforgiving, well. In the new Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, Kate Winslet and Scarlett Johansson are shot by Chuck Close in “makeup-free” portraits. The photographer told the magazine: “I don’t do glamour shots, and they’re not airbrushed or whatever. So they can be, um…they can be rough. Full Story
