Jennifer’s grey bag on the way to the BAFTAs
This is Jennifer Lawrence heading out of LA en route to London yesterday ahead of the BAFTAs on Sunday where she’s nominated for Leading Actress alongside Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Helen Mirren, and Emmanuelle Riva. It’ll be the first major event where Chastain, Lawrence, and Riva go head to head. Full Story
Jennifer Lawrence charms everyone

Jennifer Lawrence was at the Santa Barbara Film Festival this weekend where she received the award for Most Outstanding Performer of the Year. It’s been a big year. She owned the box office as Katniss in The Hunger Games. And now of course she’s on the awards circuit and nominated for the second time for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. Charlize Theron hair porn
Wenn, FameFlynet
God. I cannot stop. Wanting. So badly, wanting. Charlize Theron is growing her hair out after Mad Max. It’s long enough now to push up into a faux-hawk. If only we could all look this great in a faux-hawk. This is hair porn. This is true hair porn. For those who cannot wear short hair without having it stick up like a porcupine, this is the porn of the hair. Full Story
Annie’s speech problem
Anne Hathaway’s speeches always start out good. Remember the Globes? And her tribute to Sally Field? That was good. Last night too. Last night she started out strong. She talked about her SAG membership, she expressed her love for her community. And if she had stopped there, we’d be cool. Full Story
Eddie Redmayne: The Season’s Best
Too soon? We still have the DGAs, the BAFTAs, and of course the Oscars to come. But Eddie Redmayne’s been on such a hot streak, I wonder if it’s now an automatic. If he’s there, he’s the best of the men, the class of the carpet. And the great part of that is that it’s never the same. Full Story
Granny’s SAG hair

Nicole Kidman was definitely a contender for SAG best in Vivienne Westwood. But even if you can get past the lips, can you really get past the hair? Gwyneth Paltrow’s straightening iron met Keith Urban. Had it been flat against her head, perhaps it wouldn’t be so weird. But there’s a humped tease on either side of her part and I can’t understand how that happens. Full Story
Gwyneth’s favourite new bag
It’s gorgeous. She was carrying it around LA for a few days and was seen with it again at LAX, and this time she also had a larger tote with her from the same collection. It’s another thing that G loves to lord over... everyone. Gwyneth Paltrow has long been a Bag First Girl. Balenciaga used to send her their bags a year before market. Full Story
Scarjo’s successful opening

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof premiered last night in New York. The play is receiving some sh-tty reviews, but Scarlett’s performance has generally been very well received. Here’s Scarjo on stage in costume and on the carpet wearing the SH-T out of Dolce & Gabbana. The jacket is perfectly fit. Full Story
Jeremy Renner’s blue suit
Sarah always complains that Jeremy Renner has a shiny suit problem. This is definitely an improvement. Renner is promoting Hansel & Gretel and stopped by Letterman yesterday. Did they talk about his kid-to-be? I’ve not seen it in any headlines but then again, everyone’s just talking about Lance Armstrong, and if they’re not talking about Lance Armstrong, they’re talking about Manti Te’o. Full Story
Best Dressed (Lainey Edition): Lucy Liu

Come on. You knew it. Duana rolled her eyes as soon as she saw the braid. And the print. For all the slinky mermaids and the red taffetas and the strapless sparkles and the goddamn lace, Lucy Liu’s Carolina Herrera was an exception. No one else was working this shape with this much structure. Full Story

Here is the unfortunate truth about the Globes, when you are a TV person. You get thrown a bone maybe, if you win, but the camera is not going to keep coming back to you over and over. There are sixteen reasons to cut to the producers of Argo, but for TV, once your category is done, you will not be seen again. Full Story
Best Globes Jacket: Robert Downey Jr

You have to have a certain personality for this jacket. Ben Affleck could not have pulled off this jacket. Definitely not Leonardo DiCaprio. Ryan Gosling? You know what? Yeah, he probably could. And definitely, definitely RDJ. Love the colour, love the texture, love the length, love the bowtie, love it without the bowtie at the after-party too. Full Story
Best Globes Style: Kerry Washington

The issue, I think, with this dress in stills is that the chiffon kind of looks like it has a harsh edge. I felt that way and thought I didn’t like the hem – but then when I saw it moving, when she came out onstage (did we know she was that wee?) and I fell in love with it. So sophisticated, so gorgeous, and most importantly, so easy. Full Story
Best Black Dress & Men’s Heels: Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban

It’s McQueen. It’s f-cking marvelous. And few women could do it justice the way Nicole Kidman can. I love the detailing around the neck. Is it bees? Golden bees? God when she does clothing right, there really is no one else. Look at it from the back. Stunning. Not a word I use often. But she is truly stunning. Full Story
