Gilmore Girls + Friday Night Lights… I was never hooked on Rory and Lorelei. But I am terribly, terribly fond of Alexis Bledel. As you know, I’m also balls crazy about Friday Night Lights. Friday Night Lights actors are almost always ignored. So how about some love for Zach Gilford and his co-star Alexis Bledel at Teen Choice last night to promote Post Grad? Am very fond of the word “dull”. Reminds me of my mother. One day last year in Toronto, my parents picked us up at the station. We were in the back seat. My husband asked her something trivial – like how her opera class went or something. Her answer, always animated: Is dow! Is dow! So dow! Jacek looked at me like, ok whatever, did she forget I don’t speak Chinese? When he wasn’t responding to her, she turned around in her seat and kept shouting it at him: So dow! Ah so dow! Hayden Panettiere had dinner with her brother, her mother, and her boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia last night. Very cozy. And creepy. Like…it’s legal now and all but if JailBait Miley Cyrus’s 20 year old boyfriend is a loser for dating 15 year old who just turned 16, what does that say about Milo and Hayden’s 31 and 18? Anyway, photographers were quick to point out that Hayden’s dad was not with the family, this of course after the beat-down scandal after which Hayden and her mom downplayed the incident, blaming the cops for overreacting. Full Story

There was Alexis. Alexis and Milo Ventimiglia, remember? Many of you feel about Gilmore Girls the way I feel about Friday Night Lights. Including my friend Duana. I think she still has episodes of it on her PVR. And even though I was too late to the bandwagon, I can understand the devotion to a beautifully written, underrated underdog and, by extension, the actors you grow to love on those shows. Full Story
