Cumberbatch in Greece, Fassbender in the South
Benedict Cumberbatch was in Greece yesterday to promote Sherlock. He looks hot. As in temperature.
In other Cumberbatch news, a still of him in Twelve Years A Slave, Steve McQueen’s upcoming film starring Chiwetel Ejiofor about a free man tricked into slavery was released yesterday. Michael Fassbender plays an evil plantation owner. Cumberbatch is a Baptist priest. Apparently Fassbender is so disturbing, so crazy good in this movie, it’ll make Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in Django Unchained seem amateur. Considering what McQueen has been able to coax out of him already in Hunger and Shame, I don’t doubt it. And I’m afraid already. Can you imagine Michael Fassbender as a brutal racist? How disturbing that will be? Twelve Years A Slave opens in December. Look out for it during award season.

To go back to Cumberbatch in Greece, it reminded me of an interview he did with Tom Hiddleston last year with a Greek outlet during which Hiddleston, of course, drops some language on the journalist. You know how you roll your eyes when my Gwyneth speaks Spanish or French? What would you say about this?
