It’s been a while since I’ve seen Britney. The first time I saw her you could feel her “it” as soon as she stepped out of the car. That was her time. No one could deny that she had that superstar quality. The last few times I’ve seen her, well, it was dead eyes and not so fresh. Full Story

I am still not sick of Nick Jonas’s Jealous. And it’s been soooo long. But no, not tired of it. Not at all. You know who I am tired of though? And this will bring the hate, I’m sure: Ed Sheeran. Sorry. I hate that song about loving you at 73 or whatever. CAN’T STAND IT. Anyway, Nick is big. Full Story

A few years ago, Kevin Jonas announced the birth of his daughter via a sponsored tweet. Since then, there’ve been several pee-stick announcements sponsored by pregnancy tests. Basically, there is no shame in the parental pimp game anymore. Is sponsorship even tacky anymore? Is there any part of pregnancy or parenthood that we aren’t part of? It’s become so saturated that we’re completely immune to the non-story stories, “Ryan Gosling is the best dad ever!” “5 Reasons JT will be the best dad ever!” “Jennifer’s Hopelessly in Love with her Baby!” They don’t mean anything anymore, and with increasing avenues for celebrity parents to share their children (like social media), along with the increase in demand for “baby” anything, the stories get more threadbare. Yesterday, a short post on Lindsay and Dina Lohan showed up on TMZ, and it involved Dina selling Lindsay’s stuff - shoes, clothes, furniture, artwork – that is being stored at Dina’s house. Basically, the Lohans have entered Judge Judy territory. If you watched the docuseries Lindsay, aka “Lindsay smokes and bitches about moving,” you’ll know that she has a lot of sh-t. Full Story

Mischa Barton is in a strange spot career-wise. She’s not old enough to be “forgotten” but she’s not relevant enough to come up as a casting choice. Basically her trade is horror movies and traveling theatre productions. I wondered why she hadn’t tried a CW show but in fact she has, in 2012. Full Story

Kristen Stewart has a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter online and in it, she sounds more grounded and confident than she has since before Twilight came along and made her one of the most famous people in the world. Zayn Malik has quit One Direction. It’s official. The band confirmed that they will continue as a four-piece. Here’s how Zayn explained his decision: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined," he shared with fans. Have you seen those throwback Ryan Gosling dance videos yet? The Internet seems to be losing its mind over them.
Because it’s Ryan Gosling, the human hug pillow.
To his credit, he had a great response:
Obviously I peaked early. Thank you @JaneChupick and twitter for the check up from the neck up.— Ryan Gosling (@RyanGosling) March 7, 2015
You know what I responded to though?
Is this for real or is it just another dream?
Rick Astley was on background vocals for that song! Which is not the song Ryan is dancing to, no, but I went down a Cathy Dennis web-hole this morning and can’t come out of the 90s. Read Full Intro

Child stardom is something we talk about frequently here because it really encapsulates the lure and pitfalls of fame, and every single time a child star goes astray, the narrative is one of shock and dismay. Why? We’ve seen it happen umpteen times! A child is encouraged to “follow their dream” and becomes famous and a cash cow for an entire team, which usually includes parents/managers, lawyers, agents, siblings acting as extras and cousins who work as assistants. I have a friend, H, and she has an expression. It’s the best. She dropped it on me once when we were at a work meeting years ago, before I started blogging full-time. One of our colleagues, P, was upset about some negative feedback. She sulked for the rest of the session, then at the very end, when everyone was getting up to leave, she let the tears fall down her face and ran to the bathroom. Full Story
If you haven’t already, you have to read the New York Times interview with Willow, 14, and Jaden, 16, Smith. It’s a mind f-ck. It’s such a mind f-ck that I don’t know even know how to analyse it. Except to say that for all that the Smith family does to directly address speculation that they’re heavily involved in Scientology, you have to wonder what part Scientology has played in their development.
