Slum Love makes you stupid

“If I'm super-cynical, yet I still have the capacity to be this disappointed, what does that say?”
It’s what Duana wrote back to me when I sent her the link to this story last Friday -- Jennifer Lopez tweeting a photo of herself in studio with Chris Brown, and this message:
Not really sure what Slum Bear Casper Smart has to do with her making history music but whatever, the point is, she’s collaborating with that guy who beat up his girlfriend. And she would defend it too with some bullsh-t about forgiveness and change, which might actually even more disgusting -- because it’s not so much about forgiveness and change as it is about opportunity. This is not a morality move. This wasn’t motivated by kindness. This was motivated by BUSINESS. This is JLO looking out for JLO. In the self-serving interests of JLO, it doesn’t matter that Chris Brown beat the sh-t out of Rihanna, oh, just that one time, and has demonstrated no meaningful change or remorse ever since. All that matters is that he makes hit songs. That’s good enough for her.
Here she is on Saturday night being the bears and getting paid at a celebrity boxing event in Phoenix. Would you believe he actually looks even more heinous with hair?
