Is John Travolta the next option? Robert De Niro has been working a LOT. On his IMDB page, there are 17 features on his resumé since 2010. He has several more films in development. None of them with Martin Scorsese...unfortunately? I mean. Full Story

First reaction seeing these shots of Taylor Lautner on set today in New York: I thought they already made this movie...? It was the one with Lily Collins. Didn’t see it but the trailer showed him on the run all the time and super intense about his identity -- one of the reasons I call him Tom Cruise Jr. Full Story

Sandra Bullock is currently promoting The Heat in Europe. She wore black at the London premiere last week -- click here for a refresher -- and she wore black again at the photo call today in Berlin. This is a good look. I love a well tailored classic shirt and that leather skirt is a good length. Full Story

Eddie Redmayne played tennis with some other celebrities at the Rally Against Cancer charity match at the AEGON Championships in London the other day. I kept looking at this shot of him thinking it was a two hand forehand, evidence of my right hand bias. Because when I asked my husband Jacek, a leftie, to help me figure out why Eddie was hitting a two hand forehand, he told me I was an idiot. Full Story

Matthew McConaughey, scene stealer

That was my first impression watching the first trailer for Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio -- Jesus, Matthew McConaughey’s become quite the scene stealer, non? We might be looking at a double nomination for McConaughey next award season: Best Actor for The Dallas Buyers Club and Supporting for Wall Street? So. Full Story

My Obsession, the Taylor-Johnsons, have been in Vancouver for the last couple of months while Aaron Taylor-Johnson works on Godzilla (with Walt White). By the way, I was on a flight with Bryan Cranston a couple of weeks ago. He was super low key, very unassuming. Looked like a regular business man. Full Story

You see Man Of Steel this weekend? Some of you must have. The movie opened huge, setting the record for biggest all time in June. As predicted then, Man Of Steel will probably come in at #2 when the year is over, after only Iron Man 3. Which means they’ll get going on a sequel soon. For Henry Cavill though, as I’ve been saying, and judging by the horny emails you’ve been sending me the last few days, it means he can’t take the bus anymore. Full Story

We've seen many faces of Keanu Reeves over the years. There's Keanu the insanely successful blockbuster star, Keanu the art house gay-ish muse, Keanu the idiot, Keanu the romcom leading man, Keanu the sad Chateau Marmont cliche. Now say hello to Keanu the director. The trailer for his first feature film, called Man of Tai Chi, has been released and, while it's probably not what you were expected from him, it also confirms some assumptions we've all been making about him for some time now. Full Story

Sandra Bullock went out for dinner last night in London. She’s in Europe to begin promoting The Heat, her new movie with Melissa McCarthy, opening June 28. I really, really want to see it. I really, really want it to be good. McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly recently (April 19/26 issue) that even though initially she would not be able to fit The Heat into her schedule, she wanted to work with Sandy so much, she said, “For the love of God, there’s basically no way to turn that down”. Full Story

From the Black Widow no less. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is filming in Cleveland and they’re getting busted kind of a lot. It’s a good early predictor for how big a movie will be—what level is the set stalking at? There’s been a steady diet of set stalker photos coming from Cleveland—more than when The Avengers filmed there two years ago—so let’s say they’re at 7/10. Full Story

There were two movies I was really looking forward to this year by a pair of South Korean directors getting some English-language work -- Stoker and Snowpiercer. Park Chan-wook’s Stoker turned out completely freaking amazing, and now we’re getting our first look at Bong Joon-ho’s Snowpiercer, which many had tipped for Cannes but was not ready in time for consideration. Full Story

Diana, Naomi, sob!

A teaser trailer for the upcoming Diana starring Naomi Watts has been released. It’s so obvious what they’re trying to do here. With the piano and the familiar imagery... And still... It works. Because we are SO familiar with that imagery. All it takes is a hairstyle. Or a dress. Full Story

I don’t know how else to put it -- it’s bad. It’s a mess. It’s barely functional as a piece of entertainment and not at all as a movie. I don’t even know where to start. I could write a thousand words on how it isn’t World War Z, and a thousand words on its narrative failures, and yet another thousand words on the sh*tty filmmaking. Full Story
