Zendaya has pulled out of the Lifetime movie about Aaliyah. GOOD. Aaliyah’s family wasn’t happy with the project to begin with. Rumour has it they won’t release the rights to her music. And Zendaya confirmed as much last night at the BET Awards that that made a difference in her decision: “Because it’s someone that I honor and I respect so much, it has to be 128 percent, especially for all her fans, including myself. Full Story

They’re making a movie about Aaliyah. It’s a tv movie. On Lifetime. Who’s playing her? Zendaya. I wasn’t happy about this this morning. So I emailed the only person I know who cares about Baby Girl as much as I do: Sasha (who’s in Paris right now). Sasha’s reaction: “This is excellent casting!
