Respect the Roll. Impress your friends. And win.
Jacek and I are still in the market for a permanent place to call home. We rent. We’ve been close to buying a couple of times but it never worked out because I am a picky superstitious crazy person and have to feng shui the place up and down before putting down an offer and in today’s market (or maybe it’s just stupid Vancouver’s market), you’re expected to make a decision often having only thought about it for a few hours. This, if you don’t mind my b-tching about, is madness. I have spent more time considering the purchase of a pair of shoes than some people take before they buy a house/condo/whatever. This is uncivilized.
Anyway, people often ask me if I would entertain more if I owned. I try not to think about how they’ve come up with such a specific question. The answer is that I probably wouldn’t. Mostly because I don’t cook much but also because the stress involved with having guests over and having to impress them with my good taste and charm, oh my God I couldn’t handle it. My friend Lorella on the other hand, she lives for it. A month is not long enough to plan a dinner party menu. She starts preparing the meal three, four days in advance. The details, the details, the details - she thinks of everything. When we stayed with her over Christmas last month in Toronto, she left a beautiful glass pitcher full of water by our nightstand to keep us hydrated overnight, and when I told her she could have just given us a bottle of water, she said that wouldn’t have made it feel like a hotel. I’m telling you, she is full on with this business. Jacek brought a store-bought sandwich into her house one afternoon for lunch and she almost threw him out.
So when Cottonelle came to us to promote their new toilet paper roll covers – yes, there is such a thing – I immediately thought of Lorella. Lorella would make sure her guests had toilet paper roll covers. Please. When one bed sheet is not acceptable…?
Cottonelle brand is changing people’s POV on toilet paper, offering new ways and reasons to respect the roll. Because people pay great attention to the look and feel of their bathroom but neglect to consider one of the most important elements: toilet paper. To help people care for their toilet paper like never before, the Cottonelle brand is introducing new designer roll covers to put the spotlight on toilet paper. Designed by famed interior designer Jonathan Adler, the new Cottonelle brand roll covers (in three fashion-forward designs) will help people take notice and respect the roll that respects them. How else would you treat Cottonelle Clean Care toilet paper??? Not to get overly familiar with you, but, um, if you’re putting it that close to you, you need to make sure it’s well loved, you know?
I’ve shared my piece about Lorella’s attention to detail. Now I want to hear from you. Tell me a quick story about your home obsessions. Or maybe it’s a friend who went to the greatest lengths to go 5-star in theirs. Each submission will be entered into a draw to win an amazing Cottonelle Respect the Roll giveaway. It includes:
