Kanye West has a new album coming out on February 11. It was called Swish. Then he decided to change the title to Waves. Not sure why but maybe something to do with Nike and how he sh-ts on Nike all the time? Whatever. Doesn’t matter the reason. What matters is that Wiz Khalifa, who is the father of Amber Rose’s child, and Amber Rose and Kanye used to deal way back, doesn’t think much of Waves: Please don't take the wave. Full Story

Here’s your feel-good story of the day. Nate Parker, the actor best known for Beyond the Lights, basically quit acting right when he was getting some traction off that movie in order to make Birth of a Nation, about Nat Turner and his doomed slave revolt in the 1830s. Parker produced, directed, and stars in the movie, and he also co-wrote the screenplay. Full Story

Do you watch black-ish? It’s one of the shows I have on auto-record on my PVR. And I will always watch black-ish on a plane. There have been times while watching black-ish on a plane that I’ve embarrassed myself and guffawed out loud. I think it was the episode where Bow goes all out to impress some old friends and makes a fool of herself until the end when she performs a tracheotomy on the kitchen counter. Full Story

Our Golden Globes coverage delayed this story… But how much did you love that Ricky Gervais opened on a Sean Penn joke on Sunday night? No matter how much you loved it, Sean Penn loved it the most. He f-cking LOVES that he was the one who went into the Mexican jungle and interviewed El Chapo, the drug lord. Full Story

It’s Wednesday. Midweek. I’m writing this midday. Am about to start our live episode of The Social, then I have to head up to shoot etalk, and finish up several blog posts, and I have an appointment tonight, and I need to go for a run later, so there are still hours, and hours, and hours to go. Full Story

Please tell me you’ve seen Creed. Creed was my favourite movie of 2015. It was on Sarah’s Top 10 of 2015 – click here if you missed that. And it was a box office success, honouring the Rocky franchise’s legacy and introducing it to a new generation. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

I finally had a chance last night to check out Billy On The Street’s Escape From Scientology (thanks Kelly!). The video was released earlier this week and, well, I don’t want to say too much but Rachel Dratch has to make it through a harrowing Xenu-themed obstacle course.  Read Full Intro

Shanice Williams was born in 1993. I Love Your Smile came out in 1991. It’s not preposterous to suggest that that might have been where her name came from. But now, when you hear the name, Shanice Williams is going to be the first one you think of. Especially if you’ve seen The Wiz. If you missed the original live broadcast, it should be on demand and they’re replaying it through the holidays, check your local listings. Full Story

Will you join me in some humour at the end of a long day, courtesy the CumHards? Because it’s after 5pm and I still have an interview to do for etalk, two hours to go, and I needed this, I really needed it. And crazy stupid fans are always, always good for some joy. A reader called Juliet just sent over an article about Benedict Cumberbatch’s CumHards and their conspiracy theories and how they tried to get the writer fired. Full Story

I f-cking love Erykah Badu. Not only because you can’t f-ck with the Badu. And not only because she’s not a believer in Iggy Azalea. But also because when she’s apologising…well… she turns it into an occasion to guilt her kids. Yes. I approve of this parenting. Full Story
