What is love? With Rihanna & Drake
ERIK BEEGAL/Splash
Rihanna went blonde for a photo shoot. Here she is, in an outfit I LOVE, last night at the Roxbury. Drake was also at the Roxbury.Um...what year is it???And would these two please just f-cking make it happen already, like, permanently? The reality is...probably not. Rihanna and Drake are, for them, for all of us, much too easy. Full Story
Blake Lively vs Spider-Man
Jason Winslow /Tom Meinelt /Splash
Blake Lively took a hit earlier this week as it was announced she’d lost out on the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s new project, now re-titled Bitter Pill, to Rooney Mara. Now some positive news to balance. Oliver Stone’s Savages was originally scheduled for a September release. Full Story
SAG Best Dressed: Zoe Saldana

Here’s where you jump on me and start punching, like straight up wailing the way they do in Martin Scorsese movies, before throwing me in a shallow ditch and burying me alive. I just watched Goodfellas and Casino back to back again this weekend, can you tell? But...She’s wearing a beater tank!Yes, yes, she is. Full Story
Best SAG JUMPSUIT.

You guys. I mean, really. I am not a fan of pale garments. Or neutral garments. My colouring means they look terrible on me, and so I have been conditioned to never desire them and to appreciate only full saturation and degrees therein. I usually glaze over. But this was gorgeous. Sparkly yet sophisticated, with those shoulders and that belt – it almost made me ignore that haircut, which I cannot say I loved: a too-perfect bob made me nervous. Full Story
The SAG Dexter Table – Jennifer Carpenter & Michael C. Hall
Lester Cohen/FREDERIC J. BROWN/Frazer Harrison/Getty
Did you see her last night? She didn’t get interviewed but most certainly was shot by the photographers in that gorgeous red that she’s never looked better in. She really has never looked better. Which is why she was able to sit at the Dexter table last night, sitting beside Michael C. Full Story
SAG Prom by Emma Stone
JOE KLAMAR/Frazer Harrison/Getty
It’s not my favourite; this silhouette never is. Perhaps on someone else I’d be more annoyed than I am. But because it’s Emma Stone, and she has demonstrated a willingness to try new shapes and lines, to not be boxed into one particular look, I’ve a lot more patience for it than, say, if this was worn by Reese Witherspoon. Best SAG Print: Shailene Woodley
Frazer Harrison/Jason Merritt/Getty
We will fight a lot today about what we liked, what we didn’t like, what we could not deal with. This will probably be one of them. Most of you, I’m sure, probably loathed the L’Wren Scott beaded gown worn by Shailene Woodley. Me I love it so much. SO much. There are certain dresses a fresh-faced 20 year old can pull off without looking dripped in grandmother and socialite. Full Story
Madonna & Marchesa
Wenn, Turgeon/Steffman/Splash
The Oscar nominations were announced this morning. And it had nothing to do with Madonna. Remember when people, many months ago, were blowing it out their asses that she'd have a chance? Please. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is a giant eyeroll. Here's Madge at the NY premiere of W.E. last night in Marchesa. Full Story
Rebecca Hall & Kate Bosworth: what to wear at Sundance
Wenn, Jemal Countess/Getty
It snowed all day here on Saturday. Like blizzardy. And this is coming from a Canadian, not a weak ass LA douche spending the weekend in Park City for sh-ts and giggles. Have I mentioned? I don’t love Sundance. Because the Hollywood gets too concentrated in such a small space, it’s almost infuriating. Full Story
Debasing herself
Wenn, Pascal Le Segretain/Getty
Look at Cameron Diaz leaving her hotel in Paris today heading to the Versace show. I LOVE every inch of it. All of it. Which makes it even more revolting. That this, all these inches of style and fitness, were last wrapped around P Diddy on a dry-ride at the Golden Globes. Click here Full Story
Carey in 3D
Speaking of Carey Mulligan, according to current scheduling, and that can always change but let’s hope not, her 3D Daisy will go up against Anne Hathaway’s 2D Fantine as both The Great Gatsby and Les Miserables are expected to open in December. (See previous Anne Hathaway post for reference.) What will Carey look like in 3D?Well if it’s anything like she looked last night on the carpet at the London Film Critics’ Circle Awards. Full Story
Annie in 2D
I know you’ll want to fight me when I say that I love what she’s wearing here, seen yesterday leaving lunch in Hollywood. It’s certainly not something that would appeal to my husband. Not at all. But then again, you know my thoughts on dressing for men vs dressing for women. To me, it’s a greater compliment when it’s coming from a girl. Full Story
John & Carolyn nostalgia
I was obsessed with John F Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette. OBSESSED. God I loved staring at photos of them together. They were intoxicating. And even through all his romantic shenanigans, when she showed up, it was as though she’d been designed - this is exactly what JFK Jr’s wife should look like. Perfect, right? All of it but for the ending. Full Story
The Vow is coming
Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum were both in London today to promote The Vow, opening February 10. She looks delicious, right? Love the nude and black heels, how they look against her bare leg. And that dress. And the coat. And, of course, her face. Such a bright, sweet face. Rachel McAdams is irresistible. Full Story
