Well it’s nice to see some Downton faces making the US talk show circuit, isn’t it?

This is Michelle Dockery, better known to most of us as Lady Mary Crawley, arriving at Letterman today. I’m all for Downton Abbey > say, um, Big Bang Theory and getting some well deserved love but, I dunno, I wish it wasn’t sketched on Saturday Night Live. It’s hard to explain. At some point, it crosses over, you know? I feel like it’s crossed over. Or maybe it’s just because I didn’t love season 2.

Don’t worry. I won’t spoil for those of you still catching up. I mean, Season 1 was SO great. And then Season 2, while still far superior to most of what’s on tv, was just ...too much What The F-ck. We’ll do a liveblog on it once it’s all aired.
