August 18, 2014 – Smutty Shout-Outs
Foot Patrol is an official fundraising team for the 2014 Hood to Coast Relay – it’s a 197 mile slog through Oregon from Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood to Seaside on the Oregon coast. The team is mostly made up of police and active or retired military personnel.
Foot Patrol has committed to raising a minimum of $10,000 by tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th. The money goes to Providence Portland Medical Foundation and supports innovative cancer research and treatment as well as offering services to cancer patients and their loved ones.
Team members all have reasons for running. For some it’s a desire to help others, to give back to their communities. For others it’s because they’ve lost loved ones to leukemia, brain cancer, and bone tumors.
Foot Patrol is going to run those 197 miles August 22nd & 23rd – “Running to fight. Running to fund. Running to end cancer.”
