August 6, 2013 – Smutty Shout-Outs
To Deb & Jewelle – have a great time at Neil Gaiman! Deb, I hope the weekend of rest helped with your injury. And Jewelle, bless you for being her crutch tonight.
Dawn has rheumatoid arthritis, in remission since 2008. But there’s no guarantee that she’ll stay in remission because so little is known about the illness. While there are drugs to treat symptoms, no cure has been found. 1 in 1000 children suffers from RA. On August 17th, Dawn will be running 30 km in support of paediatric arthritis research at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. It is her 7th year in a row. Every year, she has been featured here, in the shout-outs section and every year she has been the top fundraiser for this event, raising over $25,000. Please click here to help Dawn continue her streak or leave her a message of encouragement. She’s almost there. Good luck Dawn!
