Jennifer Aniston was at two screenings for Cake this weekend. On Friday it was with Variety followed by a cocktail party at the Sunset Tower. She wore pink and Justin Theroux was there. Last night there was another one with cinema prive and PANDORA Jewellery. She wore glasses and leather pants and, again, that great black jacket. Full Story

So while Jennifer Aniston’s trying to avoid a Norbit situation with Horrible Bosses 2 and Cake, Julianne Moore is out there selling The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 while holding the top spot for a Best Actress nomination for her work in Still Alice. Mockingjay is a sure thing. So Julianne will be able to ride on the fact that she’s part of a blockbuster and at the same time showing the voters that she’s one of the best, one of most under-appreciated, in one of her finest performances, maybe her finest performance. Full Story

Jennifer Aniston was at a special screening of Cake hosted by American Cinematheque yesterday in Hollywood. The Q&A was moderated by her Horrible Bosses 2 co-star Jason Bateman. Is it corny here to make a joke about having your cake and eating it too? I understand the strategy here. But last week I wrote about Aniston’s hopes for Cake and campaigning for it at the same time as promoting Horrible Bosses 2. Full Story

Reese Witherspoon wore white to the premiere of Wild in Hollywood last night. Both Reese and Laura Dern are considered strong candidates for Oscar nominations – Reese in the Best Actress category and Laura for Supporting. So if we’re looking ahead to the Golden Globes, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, and Laura Dern could all be in the ballroom at the same time. Full Story

Angelina Jolie, Jack O’Connell, and Miyavi cover the new issue of Variety in support of Unbroken. You know how this worked, right? Variety would for sure have been happy with just Jolie. You can’t go wrong with just Jolie. Did Jolie tell them she wanted to be centred by her two stars? It’s a compelling photo to begin with in that blue-ish light. Full Story

I updated the Rachel McAdams article from earlier with some new information – click here to read it. Not that that has anything to do with Jake Gyllenhaal. But it SHOULD. And it COULD. Because, well, go read the post. Anyway, here’s Jake Gyllenhaal in New York today at a press preview for Constellations. Full Story

Keira Knightley went full angel at the Hollywood Film Awards in an exquisite Giambattista Valli dress. That applique around the neck and down one arm is pure gorgessity and, God, I love the sleeves. Not even those sh-tty shoes could take away from it. So they gave her the Best Supporting Actress Award. Full Story

Jennifer Aniston was in New York last night for a special screening of Cake presented by The Cinema Society and InStyle, scheduled between promotional appearances for Horrible Bosses 2 which opens in 10 days. The race for Best Actor will be between Michael Keaton, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Eddie Redmayne this year. All three were at the Hollywood Film Awards. All three received awards at the Hollywood Film Awards. Jesus, is this show business or is this grade school? As we’ve seen, Keaton had the early lead in this category since Venice. Full Story
