Ben Barnes, Oscar Wilde, CS Lewis, and Bono
Movie release dates are very confusing. I thought Dorian Gray was out a long time ago. And it’s available now on Air Canada, at least it was when we flew Toronto to Frankfurt en route to Nice. So I thought it had already opened in North America but now I’m not entirely sure since Ben Barnes was promoting it today in Spain.
Anyway, Dylan watched Dorian Gray on the plane and said it scared the sh-t out of him. In a bad way. I didn’t like it so much either. Not because it was scary, but because it wasn’t terribly remarkable. Having said that, Ben and Colin Firth are not bad to look at for 2 hours.
We looked at Ben’s huge head on a massive billboard outside the Carlton Hotel on the Croisette in Cannes for two weeks. It was the poster for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader expected in theatres in December. More exciting however is Ben’s role in the upcoming comedy Killing Bono alongside the dangerously adorable Robert Sheehan based on the true story of Neil McCormick who started a band with his brother at the same time as U2. It’s being readied for release in the fall in Ireland and the UK. I already know that I’ll love it. To see more stills from Killing Bono, click here. Yes Lorella, we’re going.
