Today is Allegiant day. I’m anxious. For several reasons. First – word is Veronica Roth is unsparing. So there will be losses. And there should be losses. If losses happen in the wizarding world, they sure as sh-t happen in dystopia. But also...and this is my own problem…I’m on a deadline and can’t, shouldn’t, start reading it until the weekend. I should be working when I get home tonight. Discipline is cruel. Discipline you f-cking bitch I hate you.
But at least it’s picking up…
The top story today is not an engagement. Before the engagement, Kanye West was at the Hollywood Film Awards with real celebrities where he honoured 12 Years A Slave’s Steve McQueen. Lupita Nyong’o accepted the New Hollywood Award. Lee Daniels, Michael B Jordan, and Daniel Oyelowo were recognised too. And Forest Whitaker, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Barkhad Abdi from Captain Phillips showed up to present. Sh-t, Hollywood. Are you actually trying to be diverse?
