Here she is in London yesterday shooting what I presume is the film adaptation of S J Watson’s book? Have you read it? If we’re talking literary thrillers, I preferred Before I Go To Sleep over Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl. Sleep is the creepy version of Drew Barrymore’s 50 First Dates. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

It finally happened. After a two year drought, it’s finally happened. I’ve fallen in love... with a book! The last time was Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head and I worried she’d ruined me forever.  Read Full Intro

I apologise in advance. For many of you, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green was one of the best books of 2012. I liked it ok. But I didn’t love it. I didn’t cry. I tried to cry, I did. But it just wasn’t there for me. And I’m sorry. Maybe it’s because I’ve read a lot of YA? Green’s Looking For Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson were better, in my mind. Full Story

Remember when some silly random rumour went around about Alex Pettyfer confirming the coveted part of Four in Divergent? It will not be Alex Pettyfer. It will be Theo James. You may know him as Mr Pamuk from Season 1 of Downton Abbey whose body they had to drag down the hall. Or if you watch Golden Boy on CBS. Full Story

(Lainey: as promised, there will be a lot of G on the site today. Previously we heard from Dean. Here’s Maria’s take on Gwyneth’s new cookbook.) It’s a wonderful time for gossip when Gwyneth is promoting something because raging on her is practically a national pastime. Full Story

Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head, my favourite book of 2011 -- click here for the review -- ruined books for me in 2012. And still. I’ve not loved a book that much since. Emma Watson was supposed to play Forrest in the film adaptation of Your Voice In My Head, directed by David Yates. Full Story

Who? If you don’t know, congratulations. Because you obviously haven’t made the mistake of reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I envy you. I want to UN-read it. Can you imagine if un-reading was possible? I could UN-read Ethan Hawke’s books. And read Harry Potter again for the very first time? Anyway, Fifty Shades Of Grey is the story of Anastasia Steele who falls in love with Christian Grey who is super f-cked up and afraid of commitment and only wants to dick her in his special sex room and doesn’t want a relationship but of course then he falls in love with her because she’s not really that special, having just graduated from college with no particular distinction and no defined skills and no real personality. Full Story

Here’s Jennifer Lawrence all over New York the last couple days on a final hard push for The Hunger Games which, as mentioned yesterday, could open as high as $120 million but probably no lower than $80 million which is, obviously, massive. As a result, shares in Lionsgate are exploding, up almost 30% over the last month and almost 90% in 2012 alone. Full Story
