Dear Gossips,

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy. The title of the third Bridget book by Helen Fielding was just confirmed today. It will be released in October. And what is Bridget up to now? The publisher’s notes only revealed the following: “The novel is set in present-day London; Bridget is older; she is still keeping a diary, but she is also immersed in texting and experimenting with social media, with an accent on ‘social.  Read Full Intro

Ben Affleck was in Rhode Island for the weekend where he received an honourary doctorate in Fine Arts from Brown University. He’s Dr Affleck now. Would you change all your business cards and signature block on your email? I totally would. I might not insist that people call me Dr Lui, but it would be nice. Full Story

First call up the memory. The dusty book with the library smell and the girl from the book-modelling place (where do they find those people)? The utter unfamiliarity of New Mexico for most of her readers, who were conditioned to believe that all Judy Blume books would happen a train ride away from Manhattan. Full Story

I don’t like feeling duped… Last night I got all screechy hysterical on Twitter over what was promised to be a “sneak peek” of Divergent. Basically I was one step away from calling Lainey to hold my hand while we watched. Bah. This single photo is not a sneak peek Full Story

Exactly four weeks to go. In four weeks, Pepper Potts will be in theatres. Oh, of course, and Iron Man too. Iron Man 3 comes out on May 3. Sarah from Cinesnark  has been calling it her favourite movie of the year. And most movie fans share her enthusiasm. Full Story

Gwyneth Paltrow’s second cookbook It’s All Good was released this week. People are praising it and trashing it all over the place. Many of you have linked me to this Washington Post article that both praises and trashes her. Which, to me, as you’d know if you’ve been reading my blog long enough, is how I approach my G. Full Story

Here she is in London yesterday shooting what I presume is the film adaptation of S J Watson’s book? Have you read it? If we’re talking literary thrillers, I preferred Before I Go To Sleep over Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl. Sleep is the creepy version of Drew Barrymore’s 50 First Dates. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

It finally happened. After a two year drought, it’s finally happened. I’ve fallen in love... with a book! The last time was Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head and I worried she’d ruined me forever.  Read Full Intro

I apologise in advance. For many of you, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green was one of the best books of 2012. I liked it ok. But I didn’t love it. I didn’t cry. I tried to cry, I did. But it just wasn’t there for me. And I’m sorry. Maybe it’s because I’ve read a lot of YA? Green’s Looking For Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson were better, in my mind. Full Story

Remember when some silly random rumour went around about Alex Pettyfer confirming the coveted part of Four in Divergent? It will not be Alex Pettyfer. It will be Theo James. You may know him as Mr Pamuk from Season 1 of Downton Abbey whose body they had to drag down the hall. Or if you watch Golden Boy on CBS. Full Story
