Yesterday was a fine day to be Lauren Graham (as if all the others aren’t). Because in addition to the news that Gilmore Girls is set to have a series of special episodes on Netflix, it was announced that Graham and her other, more recent, perhaps more realistic TV daughter had acquired the rights to ‘The Royal We’ for Graham to write and Mae Whitman to star in. Full Story

Aside from Cate Blanchett's work in Blue Jasmine, to me the best female performance of 2013 came from Brie Larson in Short Term 12. The film was criminally underseen by both critics and audiences, but she'll finally get her shot at golden glory with Room, in my opinion the best film at TIFF this year. Full Story
