Victoria Beckham was honoured last night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York. It was extra special because her oldest, Brooklyn, presented to her. What is this world? Brooklyn Beckham is now old enough to be presenting awards to his mother. He’s 16! Five minutes ago he was sleeping in his father’s arms at his parents’ wedding!
Anyway, here’s how Brooklyn introduced his ma as he gave her the Fashion Force prize on stage:
"I'm so proud of it, and I'm so happy to be here tonight. I love you!"
Which is pretty sweet. So sweet that even she couldn’t help but smile:
While accepting the award, Posh thanked Becks for his support and love. And she also held herself up as an example of what can be achieved with hard work. This has been Victoria’s message the last few years. That she wasn’t special. That she wasn’t the best at singing or dancing. But that it was her determination and her effort that led her to the career that seems to be bringing her the most fulfillment. Her ultimate dream was to become a fashion designer. For her then, as she explained, it’s come all the back around to Girl Power:
Does this mean she no longer wants to be on the cover of American Vogue?
