How is this allowed?!? So anyway, about those rumours this week that he’s done with Christian Grey and wants out of the sequels, Dornan’s rep has now released a full statement, denying that he’s trying to get out of the franchise, instead confirming that he wants to keep going for more: "Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film. Full Story

Late last night Marvel Studios dropped a bomb: They’ve worked out a deal with Sony and will take over production of future Spider-Man movies. This is a huge deal, literally and figuratively, that will have repercussions for a lot of people, and especially Andrew Garfield, who is now out of a job Full Story

Throughout December as we covered the fallout of the Sony Hack, I often wondered how Amy Pascal, co-chair of the studio and head of its Motion Picture Group, could possibly continue on, given how damaging some of the leaked information was to interpersonal working relationships. How effective can you be when you’re constantly apologizing for sh*t-talking behind people’s backs? Hollywood is a high school cafeteria, and in that environment, being caught out as a behind-hand gossip usually results in excommunication. Full Story

At this point, it shouldn’t be surprising that the leaked emails from Sony have taken a turn for the worse. They started bad, so it wasn’t like the bar was all that high to begin with. But the latest emails between Amy Pascal and Scott Rudin aren’t just about name-calling Angelina Jolie, they’re derogatory toward President Obama. Full Story

The newest wave of leaked emails from the Sony Hack, dutifully combed through by Gawker, reveals a conversation between Sony co-chiefs Michael Lynton and Amy Pascal, and Clint Culpepper, head of Sony subsidy studio Screen Gems. The email is about Kevin Hart, who has a multi-picture deal with Screen Gems, and in it, Culpeper says, “I’m not saying he’s a whore, but he’s a whore. Full Story
