Magic Mike time. He’s shooting in Savannah. Was photographed leaving his hotel yesterday. Am attaching these shots because I really enjoy the Channing Tatum reaction. Whenever we mention his name, just his name, on The Social, people start screaming. Without prompting. Hi! Welcome to the show! It’s Monday! Channing Tatum! And they go bananas. Full Story

Channing Tatum, nice, nice, very nice person. Channing Tatum one day an Oscar winner? They’re saying that Foxcatcher will change your mind about his abilities. Full Story

A quick programming note: there was a major delay on the subway this morning and I had that appointment at the eye clinic (I’m a good candidate for laser eye surgery) and so I’m just trying to catch up between preparing for The Social which goes live in a couple of hours.  Going to hit you up with a few quick posts and photos and then focus on heavier analysis – including George Clooney’s wedding details – later on this afternoon. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

So it was confirmed yesterday that Matthew McConaughey will not return for Magic Mike 2. The storyline is apparently a road trip, and either he wasn’t invited, or he didn’t want to get in the car. I’m thinking…he didn’t want to get in the car.  Read Full Intro

Nobody's saying Channing Tatum can't pull his weight. But with Foxcatcher, in walks a real contender: an all-around movie star and actor. Tatum plays Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz, who walks into a room, shoulders first, with his jaw always clenched. Mila, Channing and the February woodshed

Sarah Posted by Sarah at June 4, 2014 15:34:42 June 4, 2014 15:34:42

Late yesterday Warner Brothers announced that the Wachowski siblings’ new movie starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, Jupiter Ascending (aka Jackie and Potatohead Do Space), has been kicked from its sweet July 18 opening to February 6, 2015. It’s not surprising. When the tracking data was released for July movies it rated a dismal $18-22 million projection, against an estimated $150 million budget, which is probably a lot closer to $200 million in reality. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

I interviewed Angelina Jolie yesterday. I’ve interviewed her before (Kung Fu Panda 2), but never for that long and also never alone. Makes a big difference. Like, I still feel her in my blood. And I think, I think I made her laugh.  Read Full Intro

At the Foxcatcher photo call today in Cannes – Mark Ruffalo, Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, with director Bennett Miller ahead of the big premiere and looking very confident after the press screenings. Miller delivers great work, work that’s worth waiting for. Last time it was Moneyball which went on to receive several Oscar nominations. Full Story
