Arguments for: -The success of Captain America secured him his very own superhero franchise. With Avengers coming in 6 months, it’s a good way to build momentum. He’d certainly have his studio backing it. And, unlike Ryan Reynolds, his film was actually good; he established that before taking the title. Full Story

I love how good RDJ looks as Tony Stark. I love the glimpses of Tom Hiddleston as bad-guy Loki. I love how Scarlett Johansson is seen and not heard. Full Story

Chris Evans was photographed on location in Cleveland this morning working on The Avengers. This is supposed to be New York. And, I dunno, I haven’t seen the movie but he’s from the 40s and supposedly wakes up in 2011? Whatever. Robert Downey Jr showed up for Captain America last night in Hollywood. RDJ of course is Iron Man. And Iron Man and Captain America are Avengers. And so of course he came to support his franchise. RDJ is, perhaps more than all of them, totally a team player for Marvel. Last night at the MTV Movie Awards it went from indifferent, at best, to mildly repulsed, also at best. Scott Pilgrim vs the World was all over Comic-Con. It was plastered all over the Hilton Bayfront. It was hyped like almost no other feature. And it is also getting a lot, a LOT of love from critics and fans and nerds and herds. They say that Edgar Wright’s (director) work is incredible.
