Becks Talks

Oh honey… please don’t.

Arena Magazine has proclaimed David Beckham Britain’s most powerful man under 40. David said he was humbled by the honour and agreed to an interview with the publication in which he discussed his new his Hollywood friends, his Hollywood life, and of course his Hollywood wife.

On the subject of rumours of scientological indoctrination by the GMD, Becks insists he’s not being brainwashed (though how hard can it be???) by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes:

“We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in. They are amazing people who are just so positive about life and they have been great to us. But they have never turned around to us and said, "You have to be a part of this", because that"s not what they"re about. It"s never been about that." There"s been nothing shoved down our throats because friends don"t do things like that.”

You know, in a way, I believe him. I believe that given the choice, the GMD would rather have Becks in his bed than in his church…non?

But the GMD has competition. Turns out Becks and Marc Anthony are also very tight and Posh and Jennifer Lopez have incredibly forged a strong bond as well:

"We talk about all sorts. What"s happening that week, that day. What Jennifer"s up to, what Victoria"s up to. I speak to him at least three or four times a week."

Three or four times? Wonder if Tom is jealous…

As for their home in America, David says his wife has been a consummate homemaker:

"Victoria has done an amazing job on the house. She made sure the kids got into the right schools. It was a big move for them coming without their friends, their nans and granddads. But they love it. They say "awesome" a lot.”

Finally… about the status of his marriage… though the Beckham brand is secure for now, there’s no telling how David will keep his perversions in check when Victoria goes on tour. Still, his training is helping. And he demonstrated here his ability to stick to script:

"We do romantic things every day - write notes, make breakfast for each other. Something will happen every day that is romantic. Some people will be going "yuck" at all this...We were lucky to have wanted the same things in life - to have kids young and be adventurous."

Don’t believe them but I love them. And I want to buy what they’re selling. Like clothes from H&M. So cute and trendy but coming apart at the seams and still you have to have it.

Also attached – a few select pics from that W Magazine spread they did a few months ago. An all time favourite. Don’t tell me you wouldn’t want him to be looking at you the same way, lying on his side. I won’t believe you.
