Dev Patel Gossip
Dev Patel gossip, latest news, photos, and video.
Please. I nearly fainted. Look at this front row in London at Burberry last night. My Gwyneth sandwiched between my Emma and Mario Testino, and Liv Tyler on the other side, then Daisy Lowe, then Mary-Kate Olsen, and publicly loved up Freida Pinto and Dev Patel. In another section, Victoria Beckham was also seated front row…but she wasn’t invited to the girl party. Full Story
Freida Pinto and Dev Patel are in New York and were spotted by paps returning to their hotel last night after dinner. Dev jumped out a block ahead to avoid being photographed together. Um. Please. Why the f-cking drama? Maybe it’s that whole she was married and then became famous and ditched her poor husband allegation. Full Story
Loved it. Finally not a prom dress. Maybe not the hair but the blue and the detail and the way it moved – in person this was magnificent. In person she popped. In person it took away the headache of Beyonce and replaced it with a calm serenity. In person this girl… This girl makes you feel good about the world. Full Story
Sienna Miller arrived in LA yesterday afternoon and, what did you expect?, headed straight for a party, seen here at the Grey Goose event last night with Dev Patel. Are you worried? Our sweet young Dev corrupted by Sienna? He’s not married. She’s not interested. You shouldn’t worry. Full Story
Please let him stay this way – so humble and grateful and eager and sweet. Here’s Dev Patel at the BAFTAs riding the incredible wave, and still as amazed as he was 2 months ago when this thing took off. Dev is adorable! Did you see him on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart? If not, you MUST. Full Story
Last night at the London Film Critics Circle Awards – a mini Skins reunion! Returning home, the triumphant Dev Patel hooked up with former Skins co-star Nicolas Hoult who appeared delighted to see that his old friend is riding such an incredible wave. You may remember Nicolas…or not. About a Boy? Marcus? This is Nicolas. Full Story
Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle took home top honours this weekend at the Directors Guild Awards in Hollywood. Dev Patel and Freida Pinto were with him to help celebrate. Freida was also spotted in Little India, southeast of Los Angeles, at a photo shoot the other day. As you can see, she’s ridiculously beautiful. Full Story
Slumdog is sweeping everything. Like, everything. But never forget what the Academy did to Brokeback. So the SAGs happened last night. The Brange, as usual, had them screaming loudest even though Angelina decided to put everyone to sleep in her toga. But Meryl, Kate, Tina Fey…how’s that for a power lady trifecta? We’ll break down the Oscar implications in the days to come. Full Story
So you know by now, it’s Slumdog the Underdog vs Benjamin Button Goliath at the Oscars. Understand who Academy members actually are: old people and Hollywood players. This is why Crash won so undeservedly over Brokeback Mountain. Because they voted for their friends. Benjamin Button is a Hollywood movie. Full Story
Those of you in the UK know about Skins. The show has yet to come to North America, word is it’s on its way. And when it does, you will LOVE. I watched Season 1 over the holidays because after Slumdog Millionaire I needed more Dev Patel. The depravity of Skins makes Gossip Girl seem like Disney. Full Story
Many of you emailed to ask about James Franco at the Globes on Sunday. He was nominated in Colin Farrell’s category but wasn’t there. No one from Milk was there. And Milk did not receive a nomination for Best Picture. Collective boycott? Well it’s not like Sean Penn wasn’t in town. Here he is, the Best Actor, all smiles and very jovial, yesterday at the LA Film Critics Association Awards, considered a much more reliable predictor of Oscar than the Globes. Slumdog cuties Dev Patel and Freida Pinto also showed up as did Sally Hawkins fresh off her win for Happy-Go-Lucky. Everyone’s campaigning.
Speaking of Colin – thank you for enthusiastic response to this article. Colin or friendship? Colin or Duana? Check the poll.
Tuesday – blogging all day in between beagle time. My poor Marcus is still not better.
