In a rumor that amazingly did not come from an Onion article, MTV’s Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin is supposedly up for the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel to be titled either Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman, depending on which tests better with adolescent males. Wait, let’s back this up and give it a minute to sink in. Full Story

It could have been a different Henry Cavill who showed up at Comic-Con this year. Off the success of his debut as Superman in Man Of Steel, winning over the nerd folk with his performance, Comic-Con could have been his victory party …only… well… he took some baggage to San Diego. Full Story

Crowdfunding for movies with established stars attached – it’s all a bit confusing isn’t it? Like, why would I give money to James Franco? (Read Sarah’s thoughts on it here). Not that I’m telling anyone how to spend their money, but $40 for a T-shirt from a movie that hasn’t even been made? Non-profit and charity fundraisers must be weeping. Full Story

Popular horror geek and blogger Lianne Spiderbaby (real name: Lianne MacDougall, secondary occupation: Quentin Tarantino’s girlfriend) got caught up in a plagiarism scandal over the weekend. Here’s what happened: Someone tipped off Mike White at Impossible Funky (among others) that MacDougall was plagiarizing for her FEARnet column, “Spiderbaby’s Terror Tapes”. Full Story

On July 1, US Weekly broke the news that Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco were dating. The next day, Cuoco conveniently got papped at the nail bar. The day after that, Cuoco and Cavill were shot together on a hike in the hills by a photographer who just, you know, woke up and decided it would be a good place to hang out for several hours that day in the hopes that Superman would just show up. Full Story

If you’re a dictator then dictate on the floor… Celebrity appearances are always super interesting to me, because it is such a clear indicator of where a celebrity brand stands. Birthday parties for Middle Eastern princes, front row at fashion shows, hip hop stars at Bat Mitzvahs…if you have the money, the celebrity experience – a performance, a personal shout-out, a photo – is up for grabs. Full Story

What’s worse than a woman belly cupping on a red carpet? The father belly cupping her on a red carpet. And what’s worse than the father belly cupping her on a red carpet? A fan requesting to be belly cupped. Here’s Channing Tatum, kindly obliging a pregnant woman who offered up her baby, in utero. Full Story

Scarlett Johansson presented at the Tony Awards last night. She looked great. Love the cut of this tuxedo jacket. Love the lip colour so much. It’s a scary lip colour to try. I tried it a few months ago -- even darker than this -- and was put off initially because the lips were drawn exactly on the lip line. Full Story

Jonah Hill is serious, bro

Sarah Posted by Sarah at June 6, 2013 13:35:34 June 6, 2013 13:35:34

To promote This is the End, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, James Franco and Jonah Hill were interviewed for a cover feature on Rolling Stone. Among that group, who do you think would come across as the most pompous and least fun? If you guessed Jonah Hill, you guessed right. And in a group that includes Franco, who’s built a vacation house up his own ass, that’s kind of a problem. Full Story

As you know, Mrs Timberlake’s work schedule isn’t exactly heavy. Deadline posted yesterday that she’s fired her management. The wording of the article is hilarious as Deadline reports that CAA is supposedly “scrambling” to keep her as a client: “(Mrs Timberlake) discharged her managers late last week, and she will decide her future this week with CAA. Full Story

The Smiths are getting a lot of attention this week, particularly for the, um, curious Vulture interview -- click here if you missed Duana’s post on it. Patterns and Joe Kennedy? Child’s play compared to the cray cray that is Courtney Love. Full Story
