February 10, 2010 – Smutty Shout-Outs
In Vancouver for the Games? Made In Vancouver is a 15-day not-for profit festival showcasing only local Vancouver-based talent: musicians, visual artists, dancers, performance artists, films, entertainment, etc. Daily performances are between the hours of 2pm – 10pm by passionate artists who are pumped up to revive the arts in the city. Made In Vancouver was established with no government funding, conceptualised by volunteers in support of community art and culture. Click here for more information.
Happy belated Birthday Heidi! You are Fabulous at 40! I love you, and miss you, and wish I was as tan and thin and blond as you are -- Kirsten
Congratulations to Ashley, Desiree, and Erica who have been selected by VANOC to participate in the Opening Ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games this Friday! They were chosen for their cultural contribution as First Nations youth to their community, the Haida Nation from the village of Skidegate, Haida Gwaii. As you can imagine, their families are so proud and so excited. Good luck – we’ll be watching! Thanks Nat and Nika for sending in this request.
To Gillian who had a sh-tty day – here’s your favourite Ginger at the premiere of Percy Jackson last week. Enjoy!
And for Kelli aka Rocky who will carry the Olympic Torch today in North Vancouver from all your friends in the VPC and on the GDT. Kelli has been chosen to be a Torch Bearer for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics by Capilano College in recognition of her courage, her spirit, and the inspirational way she has met her challenges. Can’t wait to watch you Kelli. Have a great run!
