It was for dad

Why was Clooney in Washington? Turns out it was his dad’s birthday. So he flew in, had dinner, spent the night, and this morning was spotted back at the airport jetting off for parts unknown. As you can see, he was a sweetheart with the security lady. Many of you wrote after seeing yesterday’s post – how the paps knew to hit up the airport for George’s arrival. Full Story

Mr Clooney goes to Washington

Much as I wish I had access to his schedule, I’ve no idea what George Clooney is doing in Washington. The inauguration is still a week away. Perhaps more lobbying? Whatever the reason, he arrived there today all smiles, looking fit and vibrant and full of charisma as usual and as enjoyable as the Globes were on Sunday, there would have been an added element of A list had he been there, non? George however has said he has a policy. Full Story

Worst of 2008: Clooney & Larson at the Oscars

Lainey Posted by Lainey at December 19, 2008 13:12:14 December 19, 2008 13:12:14

It was a big statement. Dating less than a year, suddenly Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor brings his girl of the moment, acquired from Las Vegas, to the most high profile event of the year, the most coveted carpet, the most exclusive event…the Oscars. Only to send her to the curb, with a cold back of the hand, a couple months later, pretty much watching over her in the middle of the night as she packed up her sh-t and vacated his house. Full Story

Last night in London, at the home of some obscenely wealthy investment dude and his socialite wife, a star studded party with a £10,000 entrance fee in support of Darfur victims spearheaded by George Clooney attracted the likes of Bono, Guy Ritchie, Trudie Styler, Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes…and more… for a reported total raised of £10million. Full Story

Boozy boys’ night

Lainey Posted by Lainey at December 4, 2008 07:01:38 December 4, 2008 07:01:38

George Clooney was in London last night. Matt Damon is in London too. They hooked up for dinner at Nobu – evidently George pounded his way through dinner because he already looked rather unsteady as he was leaving. But that was just the beginning. Next he headed for Whisky Mist, calling it his “club crawl”…. Full Story

Arguments for: He’s George Clooney…he’s always in the running He’s single. No more Sarah Larson. Who? As you’ve probably heard, Terrence Howard has dropped out of Iron Man 2. Apparently he wanted too much money and a personal ass wiper assigned to him at all times. Marvel told him to beat it. It’s now confirmed that Don Cheadle has stepped into the role of Rhodey for BOTH the Iron Man sequel AND The Avengers taking him well into 2011 and possibly more. Full Story

You’re right. Many of you have complained that I don’t give Mad Men enough love. True. I should. And many are even more upset that Jon Hamm isn’t allotted enough quiver space. Not that I dispute it if he’s yours but Jon Hamm isn’t my particular loin poison. However, after watching him host Saturday Night Live this weekend, one thing is for sure: there is finally an heir to George Clooney. Full Story

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 23, 2008 12:50:00 September 23, 2008 12:50:00

Who would George Clooney be without Doug Ross? ER MADE George Clooney. And ER is concluding this year after 15 seasons, bringing back almost every familiar face to commemorate the occasion…save one. George Clooney has officially confirmed that he has no interest in reprising the role that launched his superstardom. Full Story

Brad and George #1

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 15, 2008 06:26:45 September 15, 2008 06:26:45

George Clooney skipped TIFF to round out his summer in Italy, yesterday he was back in LA hooking up with his boys for a Sunday morning ride looking well rested and handsome and wearing his jeans surprisingly well. It was only a year ago this week that George and Sarah I-honestly-can’t-remember-her-last-name-anymore-and-can’t-be-bothered-to-look-it-up-and-please-don’t-waste-your-time-reminding-me were involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in her broken foot. Full Story
