These photos, they kill me. At the Cesar Film Awards in Paris – the French Oscars – Sean Penn as usual looking crusty and bored, especially in the audience. But not when Emma Thompson is around! She makes my life. And the way she looks is the way she is – hilarious, unpretentious, freespirited, the best. Full Story

Where was Cate?

Many of you wrote during awards season – Where’s Cate Blanchett? She is an awards season staple. It was weird not to see her. But she received no nominations. And Brad Pitt alone was enough to promote Benjamin Button is Boring. Besides, Cate had better things to do. As the co-artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company alongside her husband, Cate stayed home to rehearse. Full Story

Amanda Seyfried has been shooting a new movie in Toronto. She was in LA for the weekend for the Oscars, then had to return immediately Monday back to work. Dominic Cooper went with her. This is Amanda arriving at LAX yesterday. Dominic met her later. An interesting story about their flight. From an infallible source. Full Story

Kristen Stewart > Robert Pattinson

You know I love this bitch…even when she’s an inarticulate stoner on Letterman. Kristen Stewart is totally up her own ass. At 18, she’s an “artist”. And fluff is not her thing. So she says. So she acts. Pretentious?  For sure! Youthful sanctimony? Absolutely! But on the plus side, at least she’s not hanging out with Ebola Hilton. Full Story

Best Oscar Try Something New: Tina Fey

Just wanted to point out – Seth Meyers and Ricky Gervais were part of the Oscar writing staff last night. I’m sure Tina also had something to do with the fact that Steve Martin was way funnier presenting an Academy Award than he was hosting Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. Tina not wearing black or grey. Full Story

The last days of her reign

My Marion Cotillard arrived today at LAX in advance of the Oscars on Sunday. No makup. Doesn’t matter. F-ck! I was at LAX just a while ago too! Didn’t see her, different terminal. Balls! As the reigning Best Actress, Marion will likely present to the Best Actor – will it be Sean Penn or Mickey Rourke? She already handed over the honours to Mickey at the BAFTAs…but that was before he willingly infected himself with Ebola. Full Story

BAFTA My Marion

Last year she presented herself at the BAFTAs in angel winged gorgessity from head to toe and took home a mask. This year, it’s a different Marion. Not her best dress by far (hate it) and her hair looks lank and unwashed… But this is my girl. My girl understands her year has come and gone. Full Story

The dress is Zac Posen, fit her beautifully. I likey much better than the other black one from the Globes. And her speech was better too. Short, concise, heartfelt… Will it be her last of the season? Or will she have the chance again on Oscar night. She is the favourite going in and what I like about Kate is that there’s no false modesty about this. Full Story

BAFTA Blasé: Meryl Streep

She doesn’t have to. So she doesn’t. But she respects the occasion too even though this outfit is probably 20 years old and recycled from an awards show during the (to borrow from her speech at the Globes for her Adaptation win) Pleistocene era. Meryl Streep at the BAFTAs in sharp contrast to the other mature ladies of the night – Sharon Stone and Goldie Hawn – demonstrated another option for women who are no longer 22. Full Story

Blunt on Victoria, John, and Bond

Girlcrushing. HARD. Emily Blunt, I love her so much. She covers the new Harper’s Bazaar UK – an amazing photo shoot, an even better interview, although she’s reticent to discuss that cheating cheese dick Michael Buble. Our Emily was incapable of rolling low classy for a few minutes. Full Story

Hate the Gwyneth who’s sickly sweet and MiniVan sucky. Love the Gwyneth who doesn’t give a sh-t that you hate her because she knows that your hate means she still matters. Worship the Gwyneth who believes she’s better than you and looks for every opportunity to prove it. Yesterday I posted the cover of the March issue of UK Elle. Full Story
