While Blake Lively is probably trying to convince Ryan Gosling to make her his steady, her discarded ex-boyfriend Penn Badgley was invited to bro down with Glee’s Matthew Morrison in Punta Cana over the holiday. Thanks to a lovely reader called Kate for the tip. This week the two were at the Hard Rock Resort and have been seen together every night at the casino. Full Story

So This Is Christmas

Written by Duana Here we are, almost a half-season of Glee under our belts. I’ve spit some flames, I know I made lots of you mad but also thank you for all the love for last week’s post about Rachel. Here’s my bargain for this week. Full Story

In defense of...

Written by Duana ...Rachel ANYONE. This week Glee makes the cardinal sin of starting on the adults, and not even Sue, whom I find generally distracting from the show, but at least mildly entertaining on occasion. But it’s okay, because they quickly inform us that this is going to be the ‘deal with the gripes of the audience’ episode. Full Story

Sesame Street for Tweens

Written by Duana I’ve been in the US for five days, feels like longer. When you’re on vacation you notice the differences more. I love Target and I wish there were more independent restaurants and I forgot about the level of familiarity that people have with their morning show hosts here. Full Story

Dina vs Glee/GOOP

Some people you love to hate. I love to hate Katherine Heigl. It’s so much fun. And Jessica Biel too. Very entertaining. Many of you feel the same way about Gwyneth Paltrow. I get that. She’s always there, giving you reason. But Dina Lohan, Dina Lohan you can’t love to hate. Dina Lohan you just hate. Full Story

Gwyneth Hate: More or Less

Written by Duana Let’s just get this all out of the way right now. Yes, I have picked at Glee and will continue to do so because it makes some people laugh. It’s also true that I really super-love singing and dancing and all that. Full Story

Glee: Boys sing girls sing boys

Lainey Posted by Lainey at November 10, 2010 09:12:32 November 10, 2010 09:12:32

Written by Duana So, previously on Glee, one shot of the Rocky Horror show, followed by a whole bunch of half baked storylines we haven't seen in weeks. It’s like they plot the show with huge holes in between for the musical episodes without plot that guest stars need to be in, you know? Okay, so Sam and Finn are discussing how they're dating "the only two girls at school who won't put out". Full Story

The Rocky Horror Glee Show

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 27, 2010 08:50:29 October 27, 2010 08:50:29

Written by Duana Well. I mean, the polarizing starts well before the show does. If you care about Rocky Horror, you've seen it done better. If you don't, you're waiting, tired, for the show to get going. So. They start the show and of course, of course Rachel and and Finn are going to be Brad and Janet. Full Story

Lonely but not alone

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 13, 2010 07:47:46 October 13, 2010 07:47:46

Written by Duana I really want to be able to snark on this show but I am in from about minute three, when they get so excited about ‘Breadsticks’, the delicious all you can eat bread restaurant. Girls making out because “I’m like a lizard, I need something warm beneath me or I can’t digest my food”. Full Story

Shadow of its Former Self?

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 6, 2010 11:35:00 October 6, 2010 11:35:00

Written by Duana It’s as fashionable to hate Glee as it once was to love it. But I don’t have a lot of cracks to make this week. The show focuses on the aftermath of Kurt’s Dad having a heart attack, remaining in a coma all episode. Full Story

This is not Becoming

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 29, 2010 12:47:16 September 29, 2010 12:47:16

You remember that show on MTV? Becoming... Britney. Or Becoming...Pink. They’d pick a civilian and devote an entire team, with a pretty good budget, to recreating a music video with that civilian as the star. Becoming was awesome. But Glee is not Becoming. Glee is supposed to be a full hour scripted original television programme. Full Story
