One of my favourite Sarah Silverman looks of all time. Maybe my actual favourite. And it was the hair that caught me first because I actually didn’t see any red carpet shots of her until after the show. The hair though, this cute little baby pony at the crown, Jennifer Lopez does it a lot. I’ve been ripping her off for this hairstyle for years. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Ashanti dresses like a Grammy

Right? I mean it’s not exactly shaped like a Grammy, but Ashanti’s dress feels inspired by the actual Grammy statue, doesn’t it?  I don’t know if I love the dress. But I do like that we don’t typically see a beaded gown that flares out like this at the waist. I’m so curious about how the skirt feels. Full Article

This colour on her! This split! The pants! I’m all about all the parts of this outfit and if I were wearing it I’d dramatically toss around each side of the dress like a matador, God I’d love it so much! And perfect hair choice too. Flat, straight, parted in the middle. Symmetry all the way. Full Article

The black dress she’s wearing isn’t all that interesting to me. And I hate the material anyway. So the standout here is the long caped blazer which I love even though you wouldn’t expect these lengths to go together. Also her hair. That’s a 70s roll curl, non? I try this all the time with my hair but it never works because I don’t have the layers. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Scarjo’s best TIFF hair

This hair. I’m obsessed with it on her. God she is sexy. No one makes me more sexually fluid than Scarlett Johansson. So, even though I don’t love red on a red carpet, when it’s Scarjo in a short flirty dress on a red carpet, classing up a pair of black platforms with bows at the ankles, I’m in on this whole look. Full Article

Probably the best head of blonde hair I’ve ever seen. In person? It’s full and even and natural and you want to touch it, badly. Every blonde in film and television should be going to Diane Sawyer’s colourist.  Full Article

I liked all of Taraji P Henson’s outfits at Spike TV’s Guy’s Choice Awards. But mostly, I loved her hair on the red carpet in the white jumpsuit. It’s a halfknot but really a topknot. And strips shaved down the sides. Definitely trying this.  Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Mae’s topknot

I love a halter. I find it almost always flattering. And it’s very flattering here on Mae Whitman. Good choice too to have the hair in a topknot, which I also love a lot. I topknot at least once a week on The Social. A topknot, to me, is much less “girlish” than a ponytail. And that’s also a good move for this dress because it’s borderline little princess. Full Article
