Still got it?
Nice to see they don’t just offer movies to 18 year olds these days.
It’s Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton on the set of Morning Glory in New York yesterday. Sounds like a comedy. About a Dan Rather-ish anchor man who can’t keep up with the gossipy new news environment and quits only to sign back on with a morning show... and a female co-anchor he can’t stand. Obviously Diane Keaton. Can’t wait to see their chemistry.
Rachel McAdams also stars and Patrick Wilson too. Produced by JJ Abrams. VERY promising names attached.
But after all these years, does Harrison still have it? Well, he has enough of it to look great in that suit. And fly his helicopter around and rescue people all the time. And propose to Calista Flockhart.
Have always liked his comedic timing. It’s a good move to mix it up, all the action, serious man roles, with another side.
As for what Harrison Ford is really like...
Well they say he’s kind of a dick. Totally. Massive ego. But also really cool. Last year I interviewed him in Cannes right after breaking my arm. When he saw me he noted:
So you clipped your wing, did you?
I won’t lie. I was secretly star struck and tried not to be. Often you meet these celebrities, they’re smaller and less imposing that you expect. And then Harrison Ford comes along, with a big booming voice, long strapping legs, grey but vigorous, old school and in no hurry to modernise, and it restores your faith in the Star System.
