Joannie Rochette walked down the runway and it was a standing ovation, and she held her sh-t together while everyone else was blubbering in the seats. That girl is steel. I love her.

Heart disease and stroke is the leading cause of death for Canadian women. The LEADING CAUSE. And women are MORE likely to die of heart attack or stroke than men. It is not a “men’s problem”. But the Heart Truth is that women can reduce risk for heart disease and stroke by as much as 80 per cent. Please. I am a gambler. I like these odds. Click here for more information. And please pass it on to your girl community.

The 3rd Annual Heart Truth Fashion Show took place yesterday featuring notable Canadians wearing red dresses designed by Canadian talent all in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

-Gold medallist Ashleigh McIvor has the sickest body ever. She makes Lindsey Vonn totally insignificant.

-I was sitting 2 seats down from legendary Canadian actor Gordon Pinsent and when his daughter Leah opened the show, he clapped so hard, and smiled so wide, and was so excited, I nearly had to exit the venue, it was too much warmth for my dead heart.

-And I was dying when Kathleen Robertson (Clare Arnold to many of us forever) walked the runway like it was still 1997 and trained to pose by Jennifer Lopez. There was a lot of open-mouth walking. And she took her sweet time. Was amazing.
