Brokeback Mountain
Erin and I went to see it last night and I knew it would be good but I didn’t know it would be THAT good. Powerful, riveting, breathtaking…substitute every superlative you can think of and that just about sums up Brokeback Mountain. It broke my heart. And, if you can believe it, their love story is even more beautiful and even more compelling than Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton. In fact, The Notebook doesn’t even belong. So if Heath Ledger beats out my boyfriend Joaquin for Best Actor this year…I would be totally OK with that. And to answer Rick’s question the other day about whether or not Heath DESERVES the Oscar. Yes, gossips. Absolutely yes. He is more than worthy.
