Intro for June 4, 2013
People are still talking about Game Of Thrones. It happened in Season 1 after episode 9 when they took Ned Stark’s head off. It happened in Season 2 after Blackwater. And it’s the most intense it’s ever been after the Red Wedding, with some suggesting that it was a watershed moment in television with the surprise demise (for those who haven’t read the books) of so many key characters. Good Morning America even aired a make-a-story about how all the violence and death was unnecessary.
In the Game Of Thrones you win or die. At this point, if you’ve been watching, how is this a problem?!
Robb’s fate seems to be a problem for some. As you know though, even from last year, Robb’s fate for me was the most obvious to predict. Not only because he was as dumb as his father but also... if you, the King of the North, are going to stand there and eat it while that old f-cker disrespects your wife, basically fingering her with his words, instead of cutting out his goddamn tongue, maybe you don’t deserve to play. Tywin Lannister wouldn’t have tolerated it.
Speaking of the Lannisters, if the Starks are one down, do the Lannisters lose some weight too? There’s one episode left. Thinking it’s time someone takes out Joffrey. That would make the next 10 months so much easier to bear.
