Kristen Stewart, student?
New photos of Kristen Stewart out in LA yesterday. She had her puppy with her. And this gives us an opportunity to discuss a story that appeared in the UK's Daily Mirror -- not exactly slum dunk with their reporting -- about Stewart enrolling at UCLA. According to the Mirror’s source:
“Yes, Kristen’s a Tinseltown actress worth millions but she is already considering a life after film. She never got to complete college and she wants to get a proper education “She is a voracious reader and cannot wait to get going on her correspondence course. It won’t be easy and it will mean putting in some fairly strenuous hours. But once she’s graduated, Kristen will be able to do almost anything she wants, in or out of Hollywood.”
I really wish their sources would use more believable dialogue. What legitimate source actually says “Tinseltown”!? Also…how is going to university through “correspondence” a “strenuous” experience when you’re an actor? Back in my day, “correspondence” is what we did when we wanted to coast. And besides, actors spend a few weeks, maybe a couple of months on set, and a lot of time in their trailers, and then even more time after production wraps doing pretty much nothing. It’s not like Kristen Stewart, or any actor attending university, is actually working at the Starbucks on the weekends and when they’re not in class. Or raising children.
Not that I don’t think it’s an important pursuit. In our discussions about Kristen Stewart, I’ve told Sarah that I wish she’d quit for a while, like Natalie Portman, and go to school. On the off chance this is true, it’d be a very, very good move. A great move. It’s the source that’s the problem. The source, if one even exists, doesn’t know what the f-ck s/he’s talking about.
