James Franco Gossip
James Franco gossip, latest news, photos, and video.
A new entry from Professor James Franco on The Huffington Post. This time, he writes about his teaching method. Yes. His teaching method. Of course, because his teaching method is the best, like everything else the Artist Franco does, his students are excelling, and he takes the opportunity to brag about how they’re going to a film festival, not out of pride in his pupils, but in service of himself, to congratulate himself. Justin Timberlake’s best friend Trace Ayala used to be with Elisha Cuthbert. Cuthbert allegedly cheated on Ayala with Sean Avery (um, I know) so JT supposedly wrote What Goes Around to call her out. This, of course, was before Olivia Munn. Ahem. Justin Bieber’s friend Ryan Good was dating Ashley Benson. Full Story
TIFF REVIEW: Spring Breakers. Or the time I felt like I did 47 jello shots and passed out with no clothes on
Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty
I debated about writing my Spring Breakers experience as one long stream of consciousness because trying to articulate my feelings about this film in any other form seemed almost impossible. But here goes… I left the movie, directed by cult film icon Harmony Korine, feeling like I had just spent twenty-four hours in a trashy nightclub. Full Story
The first trailer for Oz: The Great & Powerful was released yesterday in time for Comic-Con. I love it. I love everything about it. I love the black and white to colour explosion; I love the witches; I love the little creature with the robot face and the fairy body; and I love the potential of an opening line like this: “Kansas is full of good men. The day I learned how to look at my internet history is one of the saddest of my life. Not because of what I looked at, per se, (although some days...) but because there's that tab for “Today”. You can see all the stuff you looked at JUST TODAY, and how this links to that, and which thread you followed - you can actually see the time being wasted. Full Story
I've heard stories about some people in this industry, and I've told a few myself. Some ridiculous, and some just eyeroll-y, and a few really sweet. This is the nature of the beast, we talk constantly about the bold-face names we write about all the time, and if they're horrible to work with, everyone in the industry knows it. Full Story

Love these pictures of Mila Kunis up on stage with James Franco at CinemaCon yesterday to promote Oz: The Great And Powerful. Franco, of course, is the Artist. She had the privilege of standing beside him while he educated the audience on his artistry. I mean her face says it all, doesn’t it? Oh My God, I so do not want to f-ck you. Full Story
Like a million layers of James Franco.I suppose art has always been vain but James Franco, the Artist, seems to be stretching that vanity to new limits. This is Franco last night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Francophrenia (Or: Don’t Kill Me, I Know Where The Baby Is). And this is the official festival synopsis Full Story
James Franco wrote an article for The Daily Beast about his favourite subject: James Franco. The purpose of the piece, I think, is to educate us on how he chooses his roles now, reflecting on past experiences to explain how an important Artist, THIS important Artist, decides between all the opportunities presented to him, so as to fully engage his creativity. Here’s the thing about how “arty” James Franco has become: even when he’s just messing around, you wonder if he’s actually just messing around, or whether or not, in a month or so, suddenly what was just a spell of silliness will become an installation somewhere, or an experimental album meant to challenge the boundaries of creative expression beyond the artist’s public consciousness, which is a series of words that makes no sense because, well, that sounds about right.
Franco keeps posting videos of himself singing along to pop songs. The latest is Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe. They’re actually kinda cute...if goofin’ is all it is. I want to believe that’s all it is. But somehow James Franco made everything have to mean something. And now it’s impossible to enjoy any of it without considering what it might mean. Or is the meta-ness of that is where he’d say the Art is?
