Jennifer Lawrence’s big year

Jennifer Lawrence won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2013. There could have been a backlash. So many actresses go from Oscar to backlash. Or at least a slump. Instead, in 2014, Lawrence was nominated for yet another Oscar and she took over the box office. Between X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Mockingjay Part 1, her 2014 total amounted to $1.4 billion, edging out Chris Pratt. Also she broke up with her boyfriend and dated Chris Martin for a while before he bored the sh-t out of her. And then, of course, the nude photo hacking situation which, testament to her power and popularity, did not have any negative impact on her career.
So it was a big year. With a relatively quiet finish. Lawrence spent the holidays at home in Louisville, Kentucky. On Christmas Eve she visited a local children’s hospital. (Click here to see photos - this is NOT her official Twitter account; it’s run by a fan.) On Saturday she was at the Louisville Cardinals basketball game.
