Lonely Girl on Valentine’s Day

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 15, 2011 10:43:57 February 15, 2011 10:43:57

Jessica Biel was spotted in New York last night after dinner, on Valentine’s Day, without Justin Timberlake. Look, if that’s your thing, and it’s super special to you, go for it, by all means. But getting romantic on the 14th of February doesn’t have to be for everyone. Frankly, sometimes it feels like an imposition. Full Story

Justin at the Super Bowl: no Jessica, hi Olivia

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 7, 2011 13:21:19 February 7, 2011 13:21:19

Justin Timberlake was at a Super Bowl party on Friday night for Audi. Jessica Biel did not join him. She stayed back in LA, was spotted out for coffee on Saturday with a friend after working out. Jessica has been passed over lately for several roles including Cat Woman. She’s said to be in contention for Lois Lane in the new Superman. Full Story

SAG Black Swans: Natalie Portman & Mila Kunis

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 31, 2011 06:47:48 January 31, 2011 06:47:48

Natalie Portman did nothing annoying last night. Ok maybe her clapping. But even I can concede that that’s really, really stretching. She looked lovely, her womb did not inform her acceptance speech, and I have to say I quite enjoyed the attitude she was throwing at Giuliana Rancic during the pre-show when she was asked about dumbass sounding baby names. Full Story

The PGAs, Justin, and a jinx?

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 24, 2011 07:14:14 January 24, 2011 07:14:14

The Social Network, as you know, has been winning everything. And most believed they would win the Producers’ Guild Award too. It’s not often that Hollywood folks are surprised at these events. But it was a surprise to most when the unstoppable TSN was passed over on Saturday night at the PGAs in favour of The King’s Speech – yay! The PGAs have accurately predicted the last three Best Picture Oscar winners. Full Story

Anne Catwoman, Shelfy misses out again

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 20, 2011 07:36:48 January 20, 2011 07:36:48

Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman. Of course she will. It’s an obvious choice. Maybe too obvious? The same 7 or 8 names are always up for the same roles. When it was announced yesterday, most reactions I heard were – oh yeah, yeah, I can totally see that. Which is good…and also bad. Good because Christopher Nolan isn’t f-cking around but bad because, well, Nolan is known to be someone who likes to f-ck around. Full Story

Wishful Gossip

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 13, 2011 10:32:20 January 13, 2011 10:32:20

On December 15th, after Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds announced their split, I wrote the following: “What if however Justin were to bring Scarlett Johansson (to the Golden Globes)? Different ballgame, non? And Scarjo is single now. Full Story

JLH > Justin Timberlake? Well... Scarlett’s single

Lainey Posted by Lainey at December 15, 2010 09:43:25 December 15, 2010 09:43:25

Well... it depends how you see it. Where did all this “Oscar buzz” for Justin Timberlake originate anyway? Like I said the other day, whoever it was that was even suggesting it should be embarrassed. He is a joke in The Social Network. Which is why, since the Golden Globe nominations were a joke too, I suppose you could say he was snubbed for one. Full Story

Sharlto’s fokkin’ party

Lainey Posted by Lainey at November 30, 2010 13:45:27 November 30, 2010 13:45:27

Sarah from Cinesnark alerted me to the fact that Sharlto Copley has a Facebook and one of those that are open to non Facebook people. I checked in with it today for some added content to these photos and loved his message on November 26. Full Story

Not Daisy

Lainey Posted by Lainey at November 16, 2010 08:30:47 November 16, 2010 08:30:47

It’s not like Blake Lively wasn’t given a fair chance. She was probably given an UNfair chance. After all, in comparison to the other actors being considered for the role – Knightley, Portman, Mulligan, Hall, Johansson – how, really, has she demonstrated she’s even in their league? But Anna Wintour loves her (more on this later) and her agent is working hard to convince people that she can do more than just mumble, and so Baz Luhrmann, he agreed to see her for Daisy in The Great Gatsby. Full Story
