“What the f-ck am I supposed to do with this? It’s not even peeled.” – what that kid is thinking. Almost back to school! #JessicaAlba handed out fruits and veggies to kindergarteners at an @Honest event. (Photo credit: Charley Gallay/Getty Images for The Honest Company) Full Story

Johnny Depp showed up at Disney’s D23 this weekend to promote Pirates 5. On Friday he wore regular clothes, and by regular clothes, I mean a shirt and a vest and some necklaces – but not too many – and a jacket on top and, to me, he’s starting to look like Walt Disney. I can’t look too long at his face. Full Story
The downside of Johnny Depp always doing weird voices and wearing elaborate makeup for his film roles is that it has killed the magic of his performances. I LOVED Johnny Depp for years and years—he was one of my favorites when I started writing for this site—but he has killed my appreciation for his art with his constant stream of weirdo performances and his scarfy evolution (scarfolution) into a parody of himself. The Magic Mike XXL junket happened this weekend. During one of her interviews, Amber Heard was asked about the Australian dog incident. Quick recap: Johnny Depp’s been shooting Pirates 5 in Australia. He and Amber arrived on a private jet. They had their dogs with them. The dogs were not quarantined, as REQUIRED BY LAW in the country. Full Story
Today is Johnny Depp’s 52nd birthday. Do you think he thinks about the number? Conveniently a new poster for his upcoming film, in which he plays Whitey Bulger, has been released. Meanwhile he continues to work on Pirates 5 in Australia, monitored by drones. TMZ has the video. Not sure who sent the drone over but I also happened to read an article this morning about how “dronies” are replacing selfies.
Let’s say you’re out for a bike ride. Or a date. And you have a drone. The drone will follow you, shooting the entire time. It’s the new extension of vanity. Because now you can be the star in your own film. This is your own movie montage. Drones might be especially advantageous for Twi-Hards. Remember those Ian Somerhalder fans who were scolded by him for waiting outside his hotel on what he called “my day”? (Click here for a refresher.) Now they can just drone him down the street from the comfort of the coffee shop a block away. Click here to see Johnny Depp getting droned.

Johnny Depp has cranked up the charm dial in Australia. For a few consecutive days now he’s given Australian fans waiting for him on the set of Pirates 5 the full Movie Star Treatment, as the unit publicist doesn’t seem to mind that paps are on site to document every gesture. And every gesture has been so extra. Full Story
You want to smell like Johnny Depp?
Dior is launching a new men’s fragrance. It’s just been announced that Johnny will be the face of the campaign, beginning in September. It’s the first time he’s fronted a beauty product. I guess that Pirates money isn’t going to last forever.
I can’t wait to see what these pictures look like. Will he insist on keeping on all the scarves and feathers and rings and rips in his clothes and hat? Or will it be more like the time Brad Pitt tried to sell us some Chanel with an awkward poetry reading? God, remember that? I’m going to make you watch it again:
Still makes me uncomfortable.

After spending part of last week in LA to celebrate daughter Lily Rose’s 16th birthday, Johnny Depp has returned to Australia to resume work on Pirates 5. Apparently authorities held him and Amber Heard on his private jet for an hour to search the aircraft to go through their luggage, extra suspicious now because of the dogs incident. Full Story
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard left Australia yesterday – click here to see shots of them trying to avoid paps in their car on the way to their private jet. Earlier in the day, the Australian senate held a meeting to decide whether or not he would be charged for violating the quarantine when they snuck their dogs into the country a few weeks ago. Holy sh-t it's been one drama after another for Johnny Depp in Australia. And it's not like Australia is unwelcoming of celebrities. As Nicole pointed out in an email to me this morning, when Brange was there last year for Unbroken, they were beloved by the Aussie public. That said, they weren't constantly threatening to bail or compromising the country's quarantine. Full Story
