Kate sings, Kate snotty?

Much has been made in the world of gossip about these photos of Kate Moss from a Babyshambles performance with Pete Doherty the other day, during which she joined in song and supposedly sported some suspect substances up her nose. Personally, I can’t see what they’re talking about…looks like a pretty clean set of orifices to me, though I suppose when it comes to Kate, the Nostril Police will always be lurking. On the subject of his post-rehab reconciliation - as you know, they’ve been inseparable since he was released from The Priory at the weekend, with overwhelming consensus that a wedding is just weeks, if not days, away. But while her love life might be in tact, I’m hearing that her friend life might not be so, and everyone in London is whispering about the increasing estrangement between her and her former entourage, including Sadie Frost who was reported a while back by the tabloids to have cautioned Kate about her unshakeable attachment to Pete – an attachment that may have benefited her bank account but could very well prove disastrous in the end. It appears to many that Kate’s new life does not include her old confidantes – a network of support I’m told will always care for her but one that is becoming more and more alienated by her current reality. As relayed to me earlier this week, “they’re good people, they helped her through a lot, but something has changed forever and their worlds are quite far apart.” Having said that, I’m also told Kate’s baby father Jefferson Hack is loyal to the end. He has concerns, of course, but is also supposedly her biggest ally, perhaps the one who will wait in the wings in the hopes she’ll return, and I hear he’ll stick around for as long as it takes - so sweet, probably too sweet for her romantic tastes and a dangerous predilection for a self-harming junkie hopefully averting a death wish. You heard that thing about him being 27 and all that, right? The same age as Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain when they all passed tragically? From drug overdose? Morbid? Yes. Possible? Sadly also yes. And my Goddess she"s gorgeous, isn"t she?
