Carpets & Candids: Kylie in blue at the BRITs
Dave Hogan/BEN STANSALL/Getty
On anyone else I would hate this dress. On Kylie Minogue, I really love it. (More from the front than the back.) Is it personal bias? It’s just...the way the colour pops off of her, especially in the dark, is really quite fetching. Full Article
Milan Fashion Week: Gucci Fall 2012

There’s a lot of velvet in this collection. And I LOVE IT. I love all of it. Especially the sheer blouse with the lace overlay – is that how you describe it? How do you wear that if you’re a c cup, even if you have a lot of money? Also those, for lack of a better description, tuxedo riding pants. Please let there be a knock-off soon. Full Article

Antonio Berardi is a red carpet favourite. I guess I just don’t know sh-t because, well, I’ve never found his clothes all that mouth-watering. And this collection is no exception. I mean I like it ok, but there’s no face-puncher here either. Like I said, I guess I just don’t know sh-t. Full Article
London Fashion Week: Christopher Kane Fall 2012
Ian Gavan/Getty
There’s a lot for Carey Mulligan here. I imagine she’ll choose at least one for The Great Gatsby press tour. Last summer I splurged on a Christopher Kane dress for an award show. Like, you know when you get the sweats when your credit card gets run through? It was pricey. But you know what? The fit and the design? Totally, TOTALLY worth it. Full Article

I’m not fashion expert, and I would wear many pieces of this collection, but it also feels like Christopher Kane already did it. Like at least 4 seasons ago. I’m crazy? Full Article
London Fashion Week: Paul Smith Fall 2012
Stuart Wilson/Getty
Last year I thought very seriously about a pair of Paul Smith shoes embroidered at the heel. Eventually I had to walk away. It seemed like they were better on a shelf, admired, than on my feet, sure to be trashed. Celebrities can do a one wear shoe at a thousand dollars and not have to work about a scuff or a nick. It always makes me happy that Bill Nighy is a front row regular at Nicole Farhi, right beside Anna Wintour. I really love the gold metallic trim on the sole of those wedges. Full Article
London Fashion Week: Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012

This is the one they wait for in London. There’s a reason we rent and don’t own, right? Would I regret spending my savings on this collection? Because I know you think I would but... I’m telling you, I’m not actually sure. Oh you’re so shallow and materialistic and STOOOOPID for wanting clothes over a house! Yes. Full Article
