Hayley, Please tell me how your client went from 5.5mph to 7.5mph? I started running maybe three years ago after you mentioned it in a column but I just have not gotten any faster. It’s still super fun and easy to stick with but I cannot get any quicker. Also, any ideas on what to do with long, sweaty, post-long run hair? Squeezing in a three hour run (marathon training) is tough enough so spending another hour washing and blow drying is just not going to happen. Full Article

Dear Duana, Help! My husband and I are expecting our second child in two weeks and my husband and I still haven't settled on a name for our little man. With our 2 year old daughter, we had an easy time because we both loved her name - Blair. It is strong and soft at the same time and is of Scottish/Gaelic origin. Full Article

Hayley, I just saw pictures of Janet Jackson and she looks great. I am a young 53, and struggle like hell to lose 50lbs. What are some of these celebrities doing in order to lose weight so fast? She had a child and was somewhat larger even before that. Now, she is back to looking like she did in her 20's!! What gives? Thank you R ___ What gives is that she worked her ass off. Full Article

Hello Duana, I’m going to be honest, I’m fairly indifferent about baby names. I lost interest in my early 30s when I was terminally single, mildly depressed and surrounded by new mums discussing the merits of naming their baby Otis, Iggy, Milo or Evie. So now at the ripe old age of 42 I’m knocked up and the due date is early September. Full Article

Duana Names: …Which is Fine, I Guess

Duana Posted by Duana at August 30, 2017 20:27:38 August 30, 2017 20:27:38

Hi Duana, I’m so happy to be writing to you! It’s taken us awhile to get here and I’ve been reading your column and book for a while, hoping to write someday with a name question of our own. We are due this fall, and we found out recently that it’s a girl!! Pretty soon after finding out we were pregnant, the name Juliette was in my head and hasn’t left. Full Article

We’re expecting our first child - a boy, due August 31st - and so far picking a name has been the most difficult decision yet….also, arguably, one of the few we actually have to make before the baby arrives (eep!). So far none of the names on our short list have really stood out as totally “right” and we are definitely starting to feel the clock ticking! I jokingly told my husband about writing in to your name column, and he encouraged me, in all seriousness, to send you an email. Full Article

I was at a party a few weeks ago and the host of the party was serving her mother’s world famous samosas.  Now having heard about these deep fried pieces of heaven for years, combined with the fact that I arrived to the party starving after a two hour mountain bike ride, I put four onto my plate and then walked towards the kitchen full of excitement. Full Article

I am getting (VERY) close to my due date and am having my third girl. I have a boy name I LOVE, Hugh, but we obviously will not be using that.  The middle name will be Sullivan (another family name) and our last name is a direction (think Kim K’s kids). Do you have a recommendation for a girl name that embodies all of the elements of Hugh? My two older girls are Bridget Louise and Reynolds Clare (we primarily call her Renny). Full Article

Hi Hayley, I have a question for you about neck and spine tension. I have an overactive trapezius and my neck regularly gets stiff and full of knots after a day of desk work. I'm good at stretching and keeping my neck moving, but I don't have a clue about how to strengthen the rest of my back/shoulders around the trapezius. Full Article
