Smutty Fitness: Scale obsession

Hayley Posted by Hayley at September 22, 2015 14:37:56 September 22, 2015 14:37:56

I have always had my opinions on using weight as a way of recording fitness progress. Yes, body weight is something that needs some attention, but placing all of your focus on how much the scale goes up or down can be dangerous. I am an athlete and when I am fully into my training, whatever sport that may be at the time, I am fit, I am strong, I am healthy and I weigh a lot. Full Article

Duana Names: Annoy Like The Wind!

Duana Posted by Duana at September 16, 2015 18:41:35 September 16, 2015 18:41:35

Hi Duana, I have a question that will probably annoy you on TWO levels lol. Sorry in advance! I am pregnant with our first girl and have a long history of Charles in our family. I've always wanted to call a baby girl Charlie as a twist on our family tradition but was nervous about going full Charlie. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Emily’s front pockets

Two great looks from Emily Blunt yesterday. I love the material used on the dress with front pockets. That’s a risk too, the positioning of those pockets and it basically has to be a perfect fit to be worn, which, obviously on her it is. And how about the two piece with the black collar on her way to Colbert? I must have it. Full Article

Duana Names: Perfect or Pretentious?

Duana Posted by Duana at September 14, 2015 19:01:59 September 14, 2015 19:01:59

Hi Duana, My husband and I are in need of your help. I am due at the end of October with twins, and we are searching to find names for our new babies that we love just as much as our two older children.  We already have a boy named Victor and a girl named Adair, and our twins will be a boy and a girl (how lucky are we to have two boys and two girls)! Our last name is very common, two syllables, ending in ----er (which you can probably gather from my email address). Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Rachel’s TIFF black and white

A lot of people are loving Rachel’s black dress with the mesh sides. It’s good. But I’m not slamming my head into a wall from excitement. The best part of that outfit for me was the shoe selection. Makes the whole look. As for the white peasant dress here…it’s really pretty, sure, but I kinda wish she would have funked it up a little, with a pair of moto boots, or an oxford, on the bottom. Full Article

This is a yes for me. It multi-function. Comfortable but for those who bitch about loose fitting clothing, you can still see a great line from one leg of the pants. And you don’t have to worry about your underwear lines, if you wear underwear. Also loose enough to let you eat.  Full Article

The red spotted sheer dress she wore last night was really quite special in person, even in the rain. I’m not sure this is translating in photos but the dots lit up whenever she walked and those full dark lips were gorgeous. Am obsessed with the green blouse and pleated skirt she had on today at the presser. Full Article

I don’t love it. On paper, you’d think I would, the pink and red clash but no, it’s not lining up. Maybe it’s the flare of the pant leg? The material?  Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Drew & Toni make them cry

The film is called Miss You Already. Everyone I know who has seen it came out of the theatre sobbing. Drew was as Drew is this afternoon on the carpet – hippy, dippy, smiley, and sweet which, actually, is kinda different from how I remember her being the last time she was here with Whip It. She was all business, even tough, with Whip It. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Kate Moss’s chickens

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 12, 2015 19:26:28 September 12, 2015 19:26:28

I want! I want! I want! Because while I have birds and cats and dogs and horses and owls and turtles and apples and berries and watermelon and all assortment of food and animal print in my wardrobe… I don’t have chickens! Even though my mother is the Chinese Squawking Chicken! Also, it’s just a really great dress. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Julianne’s TIFF baby doll

If I owned this dress I would wear it for all seasons. It’s that special. The high collar, the pretty sleeves that fall, the shape – sort of baby doll but not quite as defined under the bust so that it wouldn’t scare someone like, say, Duana away because the wearer isn’t instantly infantalised. Full Article
