Duana Names: Harder than it looks

Duana Posted by Duana at July 10, 2015 19:01:23 July 10, 2015 19:01:23

Hi Duana - The time has come when I need your naming skills!  My husband and I are expecting baby #2, a girl, beginning of July and we're struggling to find a name we both like. We love our first daughter's name - Summer Olivia - it's different but not "weird," and the first name isn't very common. Full Article

Hi Hayley, I'm about a month into my weight loss and health journey. I'm 28, 5'9, and started at 205. I am currently 194. My goal is to get down to 145-150. I have been mainly focusing on cardio (walking, jogging, stair-climbing) and not squats/lunges/anything that targets specific areas. Full Article

Hi Duana, I'm due July 8 with my second girl. My first daughter's name is Quinn and we decided on that name fairly early with little discussion of other names. I'm having a heck of a time coming up with a name for baby #2 and my husband is no help at all. I want a name that "goes" with Quinn (which means that it probably can't be too feminine) but I don't want anything too "out there. Full Article

Dear Duana, I am expecting girl #3 and having trouble settling on a name. Our older daughter is Chora, and our younger is Edith ("Edie"). We want to name our daughter after a female figure she can admire. For us that means someone courageous and whose courage is tied to her faith (for us, Catholic or more broadly Christian). Full Article

This is, like, really old school orange. She’s a model, she can get away with whatever mismatch she wants. But what happens when a regular person with regular length legs – ok, fine, short stubby legs – works these out? Because I think I really like them.  Full Article

Duana Names: Causing Undue Name Pain?

Duana Posted by Duana at July 3, 2015 19:26:01 July 3, 2015 19:26:01

Hi Duana, I would really appreciate your advice! Our first boy is due this summer and while my husband and I have agreed on a name, which I suggested and love, I'm having some worries about it. We live in a very ethnically un-diverse community. Most everyone in our town has an English or Irish surname. Full Article

Four years ago I decided it was time for a new challenge. I have never thought that I would be the best in the world (heck, the best in my age group) at anything and I was feeling like I had pretty much achieved most of what I could in the sports I was currently challenging myself with. I played on a nationally ranked college volleyball team. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Kate’s black sequined skirt

I appreciate that Kate Hudson is showing us something a little different here and not a Versace dress with cut-outs and pantyhose holding it together. But I’m not sure if I like the way this sequined skirt is falling. And I don’t think I’m into the fabric combination between the sequins and the white on top. Full Article
