Dear Duana, I have been reading your column a long time out of interest, and I can't believe it is finally my turn to write in! My husband and I are expecting our first baby in early December, and for years we have been talking about names... mostly girls names. We love Ariel, and we are partial to Raphaële, Zoë and Penelope. Full Article

Sasha Finds: Healthy Mascara

Sasha Posted by Sasha at November 17, 2017 20:09:40 November 17, 2017 20:09:40

I had to go makeup-less for health reasons a few years back, 4 years to be precise. And while I want to say the beauty emancipation was glorious and liberating, I have to admit, it was hard having to wash, rinse and repeat the same looking face day in and day out for so goddamn long. And yeah, yeah, I have learned a lot about self-acceptance, but good god, I really missed mascara. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: Respect your ankle injury

Hi Hayley,  A few months ago I suffered a major ankle injury (torn tendons and a fracture). I am just now starting to walk on it again (with a boot) after using a scooter. I want to get back into a semi-normal workout routine (I usually practice Ashtanga or strong vinyasa flow yoga), but I don't think I can handle a workout that is spent standing for a majority of the time. Full Article

Hi Duana! I'm so excited to be writing you this email. One of my closest friends is pregnant after a long journey to get here, and she's having a little girl a few weeks after I do too! She's having a really hard time picking a name and since she knows I'm obsessed with your column, she asked me to write in on her behalf to get some naming advice. Full Article

I’m still trying to get used to this hairstyle on Nina Dobrev. It’s not new. She’s had it like this for at least a couple of months now. But she does change it up a lot. Sometimes it’s wavy with the fringe pushed slightly off to the side, like this:  ... Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Gabrielle’s patchy coat

What is this amazing coat on Gabrielle Union? It’s amazing, right?  It looks like a quilt, something you throw over yourself on the couch while watching TV – super comfortable, super warm, but also versatile. Come on. She’s made it part of a proper outfit. And this is an outfit. Full Article

I've been reading your post for years, and I finally get to write about my very own pregnancy. My husband and I are expecting our first baby (second for him) the beginning of December, but there is a good chance we could have the baby mid-November. We have a ways to go, but my OCD is kicking in- especially since we need to come up with two sets of names (we are waiting to find out the sex of the baby). Full Article

Of all the dresses we saw at the Governors Awards, Andrea Riseborough’s was my favourite. I love how the green parts are reflecting the light, looking almost neon. I love that she went with an ear-cuff on one side and left the other bare. And I really like this hairstyle on her. SO much.  Of all of Andrea’s recent looks though, this dress is not my favourite. Full Article

Red seemed to be a popular choice this weekend for several best actress contenders.  Diane Kruger, Jessica Chastain, and Carey Mulligan all wore red, or shades of it, to the Governors Awards on Saturday.
