Mary Katrantzou’s collections keep getting stronger and stronger. You know what I like most about these shapes? Nothing looks super tight. As for the prints – it’s a little tacky, the “fake” buckles and straps, but I think I’m into it the way she’s presented it, precisely because the pieces aren’t body-con. Full Article

By far my favourite collection of NY Fashion Week. Perhaps my favourite Proenza Schouler collection of all time. Feels so fresh and inspired, especially the stripped skirts. Check the one with what looks like half-tinsel coming down but only on one side. And I love the criss-cross crop tops that leave only a triangle of skin exposed in the middle which somehow seems so much more stylish than just the standard crops we’ve been seeing so much this year, and certainly a lot more forgiving. Full Article

These prints are beautiful, the dresses exquisite. Not conventionally “spring” colours, but that’s ok, if fashion is now four seasons. I particularly love the oversized sweatshirt that looks like a partial rip-off of the Coca-Cola logo. Hoping to see a lot of this on carpets. Full Article

NY Fashion Week: Rodarte Spring 2014

This collection is more Vanessa Hudgens than it is Kirsten Dunst, and it’s certainly not the best of Rodarte but what saves it is the tailoring of the jackets. And that awesome leopard print tuxedo vest. Apart from them, utterly forgettable.  Full Article

Nothing really excites me about this collection. There’s no defining look to it either. If you didn’t know it was Calvin Klein, would you have been able to definitively say it was Calvin Klein? What’s most offensive to me – the shoes. Such heinous shoes. Does this portend another year of shoe hate? Full Article

NY Fashion Week: Marchesa Spring 2014

You know, by Marchesa standards, this collection isn’t actually the worst we’ve ever seen. So…it’s like sh-t vs diarrhoea, this being sh-t and not not diarrhoea. Marchesa is something I like to lord over Sasha. Because Sasha used to like Marchesa. (And you too Lara!) Then she realised the clothes were a gross dump of lace, sequins, fringe, and ugly. Full Article

Sasha Finds: Emily Blunt’s casual pants

Sasha Posted by Sasha at September 12, 2013 18:13:56 September 12, 2013 18:13:56

Hi Sasha, I really want a pair off cuffed hem jogging pants like the ones Lainey wrote about on Emily Blunt. But a little less pj so I can wear them out and not look sloppy.  P --- I’m all for comfort, but P, just make sure that if you’re going to wear joggers out in public that everything else about your look is clean and crisp. Full Article

Duana Names: Perfect Fit for #4

Duana Posted by Duana at September 12, 2013 17:32:00 September 12, 2013 17:32:00

I would like some insight and suggestions please. We have 3 girls: Belle, Una Fae and Evangeline. We are now expecting a boy. I was quite taken aback as we thought we were 'done' with our 3 girls and thus never imagined a boy in the mix, but mother nature had other ideas. And of course, we are delighted. Full Article
