Duana Names: Are We Pretentious?

Hi Duana, What do you think of using another culture's name? I love the Italian spelling of Luisa, but my partner and I are both Scandinavian. Turquoise earrings seem to always print... especially when they pop as brilliantly as they do on someone like Jessica Chastain. Think too of Cameron Diaz at the Met Gala a few years ago. She’ll forever be remembered for it, in a good way. Turquoise earrings don’t work on me so I’m always jealous seeing them on others, like Duana, who wears them beautifully. Full Article

Duana Names: Charlie and Daisy?

My husband and I are expecting, a girl this time. We have a son named Charles George (Charlie), named after both of my grandfathers. Our daughter's middle name will be Anne, my mother's name and his mother's middle name, but her first name is being very hotly debated between the two of us. Full Article

Hi Duana, I am Canadian of Irish/Scottish ancestry and he is Somali Canadian. Our kids are going to be so good looking (or really odd looking, we will see)! Also, our last name is Ryan Abdillahi. Keeping this in mind, what do you think of Oonagh for a girl and Ibrahim for a boy? No matter what, its going to be a mouthful so do we just go for it? Or take it down a notch to keep the kids from having nervous breakdowns when they learn how to spell their names? Give it to me straight. Full Article
